I do.. the guy thought it would be fantastic to take out the motor and such, so that's why I had silicone'd it shut so rain would leak through..I don't want to get a sheet of metal welded to the top of my car! you know how ridiculous that would look lol

mine is painted and it looks original. water will always leak because they don't install drain channels. it won't look ridiculous if done right. what looks ridiculous is the silicone around it.

Lol very understandable. But maybe I'll do it before I paint it. I plan on doing a kouki conversion hopefully in a couple months.

OH BY THE WAAAY.Put in the new dash today... AND AND...When we were trying to get it to fit in, it cracked the windshield soo... now I have a cracked windshield, and an un-cracked dash. how awesome?

apparently my windshield is a little pansy and couldn't take some pressure.. lol. which really sucks cause I was saving for coilovers, NOT ANYMORE!Any idea how much a windshield + installation would run for?

While I do think you paid a bit too much for what you got... Try to work with what you have and make it awesome!

After they are done take alook around the edge of the windshield to make sure they did a good job. SAVE your receipt. Ask them how long you have to wait before you wash the car.Wait that long and then, run the hose on it for 10-15 minutes it to make sure you don't have a leak. Unless you want to discover the leak the first time you drive in the rain

Good luck with your new toy.

PS: Check you have am inflated spare and the jack with tools

About my parents, they weren't as pissed as I thought they would be. It was the whole "my money, my choice, whatever makes me happy" kind of thing. Which is quite outrageous because if you're an Asian female, not much of that freedom rolls around. haha.
0_o" Thats amazing. You're a chick and asian. +2 I should have figured that out from your username though. FAIL. Haha I hate that speech too, damn asian parents!?

I'm surprised you still went with a Nissan 240SX, even though you're friends drive Hondas and Acuras. Either way I know how that feels, I recently sold my EK hatchback to get my 240SX project going. Weird switching from the Honda crowd the nissan crowd.

Keep us updated with your 240, yeah?

Looking just how far a high school asian chick can go with her S14 with her full time student budget. Surprise us!

As fortunate as I am... It came with a spare tire kit and jack and the necessities! haha. But thanks so much for the tip! the guy comes tomorrow yay!

Are you talking about my dash? the two on the top decided they didn't want to, so I left them in. They're perfectly fine though!

Yeah I totally drove the DC5 home for a little bit, got a god damn ticket, 86 in a 75 for $95. can you say b**** ticket?! But it's really weird because my friend has a Civic Si, another one just bought the 2006 Acura RSX type S, and the last friend is waiting to buy a G35. Kind of weird since it's Honda-Acura and Nissan-Infiniti. Oh, and I'll be pulling two jobs in about 2 weeks so I should have plenty done this summer

Bet you were taking that K20 up to 8000RPM redlining to hear the VTEC kick in huh? haha!

You think that was bs. A month back, my brother and I drove all the way up to Austin (3 hr drive at 2 AM in the morning!) to pick up a '98 Kouki for him. A minute after we left that guys house with the 240, we got caught doing 32 MPH on 20 MPH school zone. My ticket was $354 and his was $204. Freaking bugger! And still have to drive back to appear in court for it.

Only time will tell if your 240SX looks clean this summer

Yeah definitely played with the vtec a little bit haha. but that is pretty bogus!Does anyone know when it shows up on your insurance if it says where the ticket came from? My mom is gonna beat me to death if she finds out it was from Wyoming!

Right now I'm saving for Stance GR+ coilovers!

hmm, my insurance is good til the end of september, hopefully by then it won't be nuts. I'll be starting college in October, maybe it will go down for being enrolled! haha.

If everything goes right and I don't spend money uncontrollably, I should have coilovers by mid-June!

Yeah I totally work 2 jobs and I don't pay for anything but gas since I still live with my parents, already paid for my insurance til sept. so I'm HOPING if I don't act like a girly girl I can get coilovers haha.

I'm hearing a major clunkage in my rear suspension, my friend says it's my struts and springs because we can squeeze the spring with our hands, like it's very very easy. and I can't take sharp left turns. I WANT TO TAKE SHARP LEFT TURNS!

Haha! Eventually you going to want out of your parents house later on like I am when you're 20.

Don't give up all your feminism just to get coilovers now, looks are vital too you know

I wouldn't want to take sharp turns myself with my 240 if its stock height, but then again, I haven't drive my 240 yet. Don't 240's have too much body roll on cornering factory anyways?

I just wanted to have some fun taking some turns haha. I will definitely be rolling my fenders when I get those coilovers though! I hope it gets rid of the noise when I get these coilovers.

don't forget to buy the RUCA's, Toe Links, traction links, and tension rods...with the coils, you will need them for alignment. don't forget to upgrade your tie rods or they'll bind and break.

Of course the wide open road! Haha! Never forget seeing my brother's S13 with stock height almost spinning out racing a Honda S2000 in front of my eyes. Dangerous?! haha. You plan on getting an LSD later down the road?

I want to say the car HAD LSD... but me and my buddy tried to test it out to see.. and I don't think I do, we're not exactly sure cause we couldn't really do it in the street. neighbors are a b****! maybe I'll find out sometime soon..

OH, BY THE WAY..the windshield deal!!! I picked it up today and oh my good f***ing god the job was SO s***ty. MAN, my molding on the window isn't even all the way on there. So I think I need to head to another body shop or something to see if they can get it right. it was $270 by the way.

We tried to do a burnout but then the neighbors tend to call the cops on us so I haven't really gotten around to it since then haha.

All you have to do is jack the back of the car up on the diff., so the whole back is off the ground. Spin the wheel, and watch the other wheel. If they spin in the same direction, it's a lsd. No need to tell the cops there's a new 240 in town!Btw Liz, kinda hurt right now. Sorry about taking so long for the headliner.

haha for real, I'll probably do that this weekend, we're putting on the serpentine belt and recharging my a/c! I just put on G35 wheels today, should've tried out the LSD then..whoops.But jesus hell man I was totally wondering where you went! I was about to pay $110 for a headliner from another guy, don't let me do so!

Also... anyone recommend another kind of struts/shocks besides KYB AGX? and Koni yellows...? I think I'm having cold feet about the Stance coilovers.

I just have the tokico blues with H & R lowering springs for now. Until I get my Tein coils. But for ride quality they are really nice and the springs with them for me is a decent combo for how cheap it is. Just check my 40's Stance on my FB photos.
