I was hoping that someone could give me some advice on where I could get my interior converted to leather here in the Atlanta area. I've heard good things about Katzkin but I'm trying to clock in under a grand if possible. If I go that route, do they do the side armrests and center in leather as well?

I'm starting to think that I should get some of those custom fit seat covers since they're about 1/4 the price. I'll check but I'm not too sure what the cost will be. I found the Katzkin set for just under $800 but that's without install. I figure if I can get synthetic leather I'd be happy with that too. Anyone make those?

More than likely synthetic or real would still be bought through the same places just at a cheaper cost. I know the seats in my Audi were "Leatherette" because it was a sport model and they held up considerable better than the cars equipped with real leather.

I'm looking at covers right now, since it seems from some looking that the katzkin seats are still "covers" and it wont cover the armrests or the center. Redline sells covers for both and my concern is that I'd have to match that. I'd be perfectly happy with leatherette, but I'd need to match everything. Cover King might be the best way to go on this one.

I have a stripped coupe 2.5. Does that mean that I have the backrest lever?

Ok, after some research, there aren't too many options in the area. There's a place in Roswell and one in Tucker, they want 995 and 943 respectively for katzkin. The only option as far as covers go is Caltrend, and these don't have the armrests or the center rest. Those would be $639 for the covers, plus another $69, and $40 for the side and center armrests respectively, for a total of $739. The issue at hand is that the side and center would be leather and the seats would be "leatherette."

Anyone have some pics of what katzkin looks like?

The backrest lever should be referring to the lever that would be on the driver's seat if you had power seats (it's a lever just like the one on the passenger seat that is high up on the bolster by the headrest. I know there was a thread about a company that did this for for $899 installed and had plenty of pictures of their work on here, only catch is the are in Tampa. leather-interior-t411851.html#p5026508

From the pictures of their work, and they're installed price I'd be willing to make the drive and call it a "vacation" if I could get them to schedule it so I could drive down, rent a car and stay two days while they did it.

This is all a "when I have the money" dream though.

I'm just wondering if I should spend my $$ on something better....what does leather do to the resale value of the car?

That price was w/o tax. The $950 here in atlanta is out the door w/tax.

Ahh, there's the catch. I haven't decided 100% on what color I would want.
