Hey guys,

New to the forum, just got my A/C 2.5s last week and loving it. Wanted to know if anyone had the dealer install aftermarket leather.

I just had my a/c "leathered" and wanted to see if anyone else went this route as well.

Thanks,Matt

Originally the dealer told me $1,200. But when I started to negotiate with them when I bought my car, they charged me $1,000 for the leather. I will post pictures soon.

agree. I'll be getting a dark red leather with side panels for $850 total soon.

I picked up my car Friday from the dealer with the leather installed. Over all I'm impressed with the installation. I will be posted pictures soon since the lady friend decided to take the digital camera with her today... I flipped out on the dealer Friday because they did a half a** job re-installing the door handles inside my doors. The handles aren't as flush looking as they were before I dropped it off. You can tell they were removed and not installed correctly. I will be taking my car back for them to install the handles correctly. It kinda pisses me off that I take my car to the dealer to have leather installed to find out they did a horrible job putting everything back together. Other than that I love the leather. It looks a hell of a lot better than the fabric before.

Pics to come...

We do this daily for the local Nissan dealership among many others. Here are a few pics for you of most current Nissans. Pricing is $700 carryout on a kit, $899 installed, two tone is $950 or so, Suede inserts are $1000 or so installed. We do 3-5 Nissans per week. The black coupes are VERY popular now. Nice cars...

Here is a Maxima (some befores and afters):

i like the look of leather, but down here in FL it gets too hot during the summer to have leather IMO. Cloth doesnt get nearly as hot and i dont think the cloth seats look all that bad. i would probably upgrade later but it would be one of my close to last mods.

Nice work from what i can see in the pics tho.

Not really. The going rate at the dealerships is $1500 to $2000. From what I understand, we are just one of the only companies who service the dealerships on the wholesale side in big volumes, yet also have a large retail presence. We are also the ONLY ones that I know of that have a pretty large forum presence.

I do know that we have the largest retail business installing leather kits for the general public. This comes from my rep at the leather kit manufacturer. Most shops that do this for dealerships have little to no retail business-nor do they want it. So, the challenge is finding that shop (getting the dealership to give up that information), and then getting them to do it for you close to the wholesale pricing.

I have a question for you. I am in the Memphis TN area and I wanted to have leather installed in my 2008 Altima Coupe 3.5, do you know any one in the area?

Do you guys also do HEATED leather seats?

I'm in NY so there's no way i can give you bussness but would like to know if you can share info on how to make it work if i got oem heated leather seats on non-leather sedan.I hooked up driver's seat - all was plug/n/play, all connectors and wires were there but passenger's seat is a different story - different color of wires, amount of wires and location of wires in the same harness....

Honestly, I don't know of anyone up there who does this. I would suggest you go to http://www.roadwire.com or http://www.katzkin.com and click through the "find a dealer near you" link. That is the best way to find someone who is capable of doing this for you.

Or, go to your local dealership and ask them if they can point you to who they use. Our dealerships here often send people to us who have older vehicles just because they came in and asked about it. Or, call either of their toll free numbers and talk to the rep. You will get the info you need.

We do the aftermarket heaters in the seats. But, fortunately for us, they are very simple two wire deals. They involve sewing in a pad to the backs and bottoms and running a power and ground wire. You mount the switches somewhere and plug them in-simple as that.

OEM seat heaters-I have no experience with. You will have to do some wiring diagram digging for help with that one. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance there...

Thank you for reply. Now with winter just around the corner this heat thing slowly but surely is moving up on my to-do list.

I have been thinking of selling my leather seats and getting some sport seats thrown in.

I'm seriously thinking about taking a trip to Florida and just getting them to do this. It's only about a six hour drive from here; I just need to scrounge up enough extra cash first though.

Can the same be done to oem rear seats?
