I had to take everything off. It was really close when I tried to line everything up with it all off. So I drilled the holes a little bigger on the lower compressor mounting brackets (the actual compressor holes not the brackets we got from CodyAce or the block brackets). it gave me just enough angle to be able to line them up. it was a little bit of a pain getting it back on but it went. and It doesn't feel like its any better than it was when I was just using the top two bolts, BUT the belt still doesn't fit. Its inches too short. So I am thinking I did the work for nothing. OH well.

BTW. My compressor came from my 97 s14 KA. I don't know if it is any different from the one on the zenki or not. I would try removing it all and lining it up on the ground to see if its going to fit, you may have a little better luck if your compressor is different from mine, and if it doesn't line up you can see what needs to happen much easier.

BUT I emailed Cody on those belts...he needs to take care of that for us because we paid extra to get the full solution.

Recieved my bracket today. One of the tabs was broken off. Should have welded around them instead of just a tack weld. Hopefully I wont have any fitment problems..

I was one of the first ones to send payment and have yet to recive my brackets.(sent on the 28 of july)

Cody, I think some sort of an update as to what is going on is in order for thoes of us that have not gotten our brackets yet, as this is starting to get very frustrating.

He hasn't replied here since 8/8/08, so I'm guessing that he has given up on us.

Cody, if you don't give some sort of an update by Wednesday, I want a refund. Its been almost a month since I sent you payment, and I still don't have the damn brackets, this has gotten completely f******g ridiculous.

A/C after 1-1/2 year! I found this belt laying around so I tryed it and it fit: 5040378! Cody sent me 5040345 and it was too small. I tryed stretching it out but I messed it up trying. I have some poly. motor mounts that sat the motor soo low the compressor pully was sitting on the front sway-bar. So I used spacers on the sway-bar mount's to get the clearance.

I have some codyace redtop sr w/ ka compressor brackets still that I should get rid of. Anyone ?

in his defense, I think he is either in the reserves or in the service...but I would like to get some sort of refund for this belt that I paid extra for and does not work with this kit I purchased!?! Cody this has not been a good experience for the "Finally simple solution" I am going to try the belt that supreams14 found and see what happens, but I have yet to get anything to work.

It was 140 bucks for me to get some custom a/c lines fabbed up -- Within 4-5 hours I had working a/c using the sr compressor and not the big ole ka compressor -- the sr one is half the size..... and blows ice cold...

Xat in Tampa FL wanted $220 to weld my sr lines on! When I had the money 2 weeks later they were shut down. I guess they went under. Every other shop I called wanted $400!

The belt I use is almost too long because the tensioner is almost fully extended. But it works.

It's not as cold as when I first got the car. My uncle said I should replace my dryer accumulator (A/C filter) and also clean out the condenser(I forgot what he said to use).

thats nice, but if this belt worked I would have spend 115 dollars and had everything I needed in about 30 minutes worth of time already working and blowing cold. I also think there is a location and time factor. It seems like you are lucky enough to have a shop around to take care of all of that. I wanted to use my KA unit because I knew it worked and the lines are already there...meaning I dont have to go get the system charged again or flushed and then charged which is an extra 150-200 bucks after you get the lines made.

The brackets are the way to go for most of us.

these brackets were definitely the way to go. I just need to get a belt.

I wanted to know if I payed for shipping would you do a trade or parshal refund or anything? It gettin hot down here in florida n a couple shops wants like $250+ just to weld the sr lines on!(what a rip)------------------LATER--------------------Hey Cody, I will take the kit for S14 Owners with S13 Blacktop/S14SR20.I already have the kit for the redtop but I will just buy the kit for S14 Owners with S13 Blacktop/S14SR20 to save us both time. I ordered the first batch of codyace brackets over a year ago. In his first batch they were advertised as s13 sr20det's w/ ka compressor. He did not say red-top s13 sr only and I found out the hard way having a s13 blacktop. So I said F IT and bought the new brackets.

Is cody still selling these brackets? I had a question since you guys seem Knowledgable. I'm trying to get this AC installed. I have a 96 S14 with a S13 redtop. I have all the Ka lines and compressor but I have the SR20 bracket. All I need are the compressor mounting bolts, the long skinny ones and a belt. Could someone please give me some insight I've been searching for almost two weeks no for some solid information. Like someone who has a SR with functional A/C. Am I good to go once I get the bolts and belt? Any help is greatly appreciated, I live in Florida and its so hot and humid.

I have a set I got from him about 1-2 years ago for a red top sr with a s14 compressor(I have a black top/they don't work). I don't know if they work for s13 sr compressor. The brackets have a little surface rust but they should work fine. I would give them a lite sand and some hi temp paint. The bolts are new and shinny looking.

Top and bottom brackets, 4 long bolts and 4 small.

If Cody DON'T mind I would like to start the bidding @ $60 shipped!
