Well i did my 300zx brake upgrade on my 240 and i was having trouble getting the heat sheild off. so i did what every other dumbfu<k what do i start beating it with a hammer. that didnt work. well in the process i bent this little stud with a magnet in between and the magnet broke into pieces. later to find out that was my abs sensor hense why my abs light is on. i need help, should i get a new sensor (unless someone has one) they are $300, or should i unplug the abs system, or should i say fu<k it and drive it the way it is?

I would sell you one of mine, but they are still in the car. My ABS has been dissabled and mostly removed for years, I never did get around to yanking the sensors out.

ok well i mean i know ur probobly gonna say this is personal preference but do i need it and should i disable mine too? my 240 was my first car. and my jeep has abs also so i really never driven a vehicle with out it. why did you yank yours? i thought it was a good thing to have. one more some people say it "rare" to have abs in the 240's lol. is that bullsh1t

Its rare in S13s, but quite a few S14s have it.

As for pulling it, it really comes down to your driving style, and plans for the car. My S14 sees a great deal of abuse everywhere it goes, including track time. Ive found that the rudimentary ABS systems found in older vehicles, are often more of a hindrance then a help. For ABS to be truly effective, it needs to be one of the newer computer controlled versions.

As you said though, its all personal preference, I personally just dont like it.

thank you. that cheers up my day alittle bit. but i also heard the same thing from CARisma in flordia . they said that the abs that came in the 240sx were not all that effective. but it just kills me the price it is for a new sensor.

also i could do my research on how to disable it but ill just ask you. what do i do
