Has anyone installed one of these? Please comment, AAM proposed theory on the angled spacer makes sense but your feedback has allways prooved to be great in making informed desitions.

thanks,

I haven't....I just have an aftermarket plenum which is larger, therefore creating more space and better flow like the spacer, but better....but as far as spacers and the install is concerned I'd try this forum link.

try the "search" window...it's quite useful sometimes :P

AAM claims that their spacer is slanted (in a wedge form) wider in front and decreasing as it reaches the rear, this will equalize the air volume going to the front cylinders with the amount of air going to the rear. G 35 plenums have less air volume in front and larger in the rear thus a regular spacer will definitevly increase air capacity but will remain in the same proportion as factory. In other words a slanted spacer would (theorically) help the front cylinders breathe as well as their other four brothers.

I know what you're talking about...and it should provide for better/more equalized air flow throughout. The only question is, will your stock engine cover fit back over after the install (if you even care) and do you ever plan on installing a front upper tower brace bar.....cause if you are, many won't fit over a non-stock height plenum, so ya gotta shop around a little more. Just a couple of things to consider......but I'd say it sounds like a good upgrade.

Ya might wait for someone to chime in who has more experience with spacers tho...as I have little.

I have the AAM plenum spacer. Works great. Can really feel the power increase. No problem with OEM strut bar or hood. Good value.

the slanted spacer should good. I can't see it making much of a difference than any other spacer though. My guess is that more air flow is more air flow and that angled or normal spacers wont change much of anything.

This is true... The greater capacity at the front cylinders would definitely help equal out the pressure...I've read some things about this and it should help improve the power to all cylinders equally... The flat spacers do slightly restrict the air to the front two cylinders.

Correct me if I'm wrong...

That's the idea anyway. It definately makes a difference at high RPMs, and roars too.
