Unlike professional races, the reaction time has not bearing in the final ETA. I assume they were running the sportsman tree.

probably so, just remember on the street your reactoin time is a lot more important than on the strip. Also, Bud, i was recently snooping around on some wrx forums and those guys are awfully nice, they seem to admite the spec V and 24o quite a bit for their handlig, of course they dont have any power comparted to the wrx or STi, but ill take what i cna get ;)

The Spec V and the 240 are really good cars. Stock they lack the power but that can be easily fixed.

well compared to most other soprt compacts, the spec V can hold its own easily with power, and the 24o really didnt have much competetion when it was 'new' in the early 9os (the s13s). O, Bud, theres a winn dixie i live near that always have a gorgeous white 91-93 24o that is PERFECT from the outside (and i checked for rust in the parking lot ;)) Its an SE with sunroof, no leather, no LSD, and 5psd with 1o7k on it. The only mods is indiglo guages and small chrome tips on the stock muffler. I couldnt help but stare for 15 min or so and i left him a note on his windshield expressing my want for the car, and ask if he'd be willing to sell it, but he hasnt called :(, and that was friday night, but the thing was so gorgeous, o yea, no spoiler either

yeah they are both nice cars. and right now i have a WRX(getting my 240 this weekend) and all i can say is a WRX is really fast...there isnt many stock cars that can beat a WRX when its stock. and as for the STi well its BLOWS away a WRX. i dont think 15.5 is a fast 1/4 mile time. theres nothing really to brag about with that time

I would love to see a Spec V vs. a Toyota Matrix. Not sure how that would turn out. I have raced a 5sp Matrix in the Altima. I beat the guy out (not by much), because I had the inside turning lane.

Love the Perrin Up-pipe. It was easier to install than the APS up-pipe. The Perrin is not as bulky and easier to slide into place. All the guys thought I was nuts for picking the Perrin up-pipe because it is not flexible. We had no problems with the install. Only thing is, you dont have the ability to put a sensor in the pipe. btw there should a little box from Turbo XS coming in the mail with plugs and wires to hook up to the ECU.

So the Spec V won? Does the GTS have the 180hp engine?

yes the spec V won, and the GTS has the 18ohp motor, however it only has about 133ft lbs of tq, and the matrix isnt the lightest piece of machinerey around, especially when compared to a 26oo-27oolb SpecV
