the speeds are wrx 76.02 and my 240 71.26 mph. turbo vs non and allwheel drive vs 2 wheel drive. my speed most of time is around 73.20 mph. i left my tire pis at 29 psi.most of the time i let it out to 22 psi. but the car flots at high speed on the way home. after the first of the year when i get my drag tire and NOS ill take him on again.but for now ill let him think hes the man.

Not RAPE. I raced a WRX and on;y lsot by 1 and a half car lengths... also they cost like 6 times the avergae 240sx price... I think a non-turbo WRX would get raped by 240sx..

Besides the fact that the starter of the thread made no sense, all this tells me is that BOTH WRX drivers either A) Don't know how to drive or B) Most likely didn't want to break their trannies. ;)

Fred,Hurrikane was speaking about the trap speeds in the race. He failed to mention what the elapsed times were. Basically, if the WRX had a better elapsed time, it was trucking. Since his speed was greater and his elapsed time was lower. If the WRX wasnt, it must have taken its sweet time, I guess.

Lets just put this into persepective. The WRX runs 14.6 in the quarter mile stock. Hurrikane with a lightly modded 240 (not sure what the "Classified Other Mod" is) runs a 15.40. That is 8 tenths of a second slower than a stock car. I think the stock 240 runs around high 15 sec to low 16 sec in the quarter mile. Now I guess it depends on what you call a "rape" after a race, but stock for stock there is no contest. Just for everyone's reference, we have three Scoobies with Perrin short-ram intake and up-pipe and Cobb Stage 1 reflash running in the mid to high 13's (which is an $820 investment).

A full second in the 1/4 constitutes "rape" IMO.

I'll up my bet to $50.

I love that color. It looks black from far off and you can see the blue up closer. We have one in our club. My 03 is Pearl Platinum Silver.

Stock for stock, once again, a 240 has NO CHANCE against a WRX with a remotely capable driver. A modified NA 240 really has no chance against a stock WRX with a remotely capable driver. And how in the name of Pete do you get a flywheel dyno run on any kind of average budget, and why the fool would you do that? Even if I had my engine out of the car, the numbers still don't matter until you know the ACTUAL numbers. I highly doubt Hurrikane has anything close to 190 crank hp, sounds like a "hondified" figure to me (well an intake gives me 15 horsepower, etc etc). And short of a FI setup, any "secret", "classified" mod is total junk. And cmon guys, read the post. I'd be surprised if this one graduated high school.......it's barely readable. Sadly, there's a day when I'd have stood agape that we didn't flame the fool out of this, but the trend seems to be different these days..........

ok keep this in mind its a 1/8 of a mile

wrx time 9.31 sec at 76.01 mph reaction time 0.423 240 time 9.79 sec at 72.18 mph reaction time 0.652

this has been my best time to date in the 1/8. my best time in the 1/4 mile was 14.90 at 96.00.that was with 115 ot race gas.all on street tires. i had a 1974 260z that ran 13s in the 1/4 at over 105 mph. gave it up for a car with a/c and a good paint job.i do all my work my self.my first nissan was a hardbody truck with a blower and it ran mid 14s in the 1/4. and no i dont have a blower on the 240. as for the driver of the wrx the readtion time speaks for its self. and no im not mad.just nuts.
