I learned my lesson 10 years ago no drag race starts.Just sucker them in a 50-55 mph, many of the newer 5 speeds won't down shift to 2nd gear and those that do are shifting to 3rd at 65 mph....................sure many will stay in 3rd to 100 mph but most give up in defeat before I have to shift at 95 mph.

A good engine with the 7300 [98 mph] JWT redline, [93 mph stock ecu] or the 94-95 Q with higher second gear and no JWT [does 97 mph in second].

All about knowing your car better than the next guy and using what advantages you have.

Stop the race while you are pulling ahead, not when he is.

I don't fear third gear. Never lost any races in Third!
