I have replaced dozens of window regulators and all the asian vehicles I have done rarely take more than 1 hour for me, 2 hours if you haven't done it but know your way around a wrench I would guess. Make sure to block the glass up after you disconnect it from the regulator so it doesn't fall. I usually stick a screwdriver through a hole up high in the door behind where the door panel is just under the window so the window sits on it. you can tape it up too but I don't like to get tape glue on the paint. Guess you could put something between the tape and the paint so it was only sticking to the glass.
Long story short....you CAN DIY. Is your time worth $150 an hour?
American cars are the ones that I don't like doing, especially the older cars. They used to always rivet the regulators and motors in so you had to drill them out.
