Hey Guys...I have been reading your posts on the Q45 driveshaft.I have info on a completely servicable aftermarket alternative that is available for around $400 (give or take). Premium Spicer racing joints are used on the shaft and it is insulated similar to the factory shaft (w/o the inconsistencies of foam). This is my first endeavor into the Q45 driveshaft situation. Please either reply to my post with any questions or interests, or of course you can e-mail me as well.....

Does it utilize the later design center bearing?

I hate to sound ignorant, but all I know at this time is that it covers year models 90-96.

I know this may not help you much. If you can tell me more about the center bearing, then maybe I can answer you question better....

sorry for my ignorance

We saw this shaft the other day and asked for a demo, we wanted one to try and agreed to pay for if it worked. Guess he didn't understand or that was his only demo. The salesman left without leaving a shaft !!!!!!!!!!!! until we try it I wouldn't waste your time.

After testing almost a dozen aftermarket wannabees I am hard to please. Balancing the shaft is only a small part of it as the phasing is critical to minimize the 60 or 65 or 70 or 80 mph [you must select one and only one without $15,000 worth of test equipment ]. T3 and no dealer in Atlanta have it.........but Lexus does but they are not every good at interpreting the numbers.

By the way the ujoints don't fail if they are stress relieved every 30k with a ball p hammer takes around 30 minutes.......just drop the shaft off the diff [be sure to put it back mark to mark, and with a helper do it on the lift hanging down in rear.
