hello. my name is brian and I am new to this forum. came here looking for some advice on a '94 j30. it has 80,000 miles. we have been having a very cold winter here in chicago with the last month and a half being on average below 20 degrees with many days in the single digits and subzero and in this time i have noticed my car acting very differently. the car usually starts up right away first thing in the morning some mornings it might take a couple tries. idles b/w 1000 and 2000 rpms while it warms up. once it warms up it does idle under 1000 rpms. my drive to work is mostly doing speeds over 45 mph. the car does stumble during acceleration but there is a more severe stumbling going on during driving speed. this doesnt occur the entire drive( 25 miles one way) it might occur for a mile at most when im doing speeds over 45mph. it gets worse when im in stop and go traffic it stumbles more aggressively and will stall while in motion. the air filter is only 3,000 miles old, air ducts are clean, all hoses are free of any defects. added a fuel system cleaner to gas tank a couple days ago. the next area im ganna look into are the spark plugs. i realize this is alot of information if anyone out there has also run into this problem or if anyone has any ideas and could point me in the right direction that would be great.
