When you got code 43, and then code 55, did you turn the little knob on the ECU again to get the code 55? If so, that reset the ECU so you will get the code 55 until you drive the car again.
Since the first code that came up is 43, you really need to either adjust the TPS or replace. Something is going on there. You can test the TPS with an ohm meter. If it has any dead spots, replace. If you have an auto, you will have a ton of problems with shifting times, unresponsivenes, bucking, poor acceleration, etc... If you have a 5 speed, mainly just poor acceleration.
