I took my 90Q to the dealer and they told me that my turbine sensor is leaking. I need to know where this part is and if I can fix it myself. Also if the transmission is overfilled with fluid will that make it leak around the area of the harness that is by the drive shaft?

No, that's merely where the sensor wires run to their connection. The sensor itself is about at 11 o'clock.

Transmission has to be dropped, so you need a lift, a transmission jack, and a strong buddy.

Customary to replace rear main engine seal and probably 3rd motor (transmission) mount and exhaust hanger bracket simutaneously.

if the transmission is overfilled,it will leak out of the topside vent --- how much is it leaking? even if it is the turbine sensor, and it is just a small seepage,I would not worry about dropping trans until you need to replace the transmission-too much $ labor cost for no real benefit other than to keep a few drops of atf off the garage floor-many other areas to better spend on an old q!

It can be done without dropping the transmission, but I can't find the old posts, even after searching for about 15 minutes. One member drilled a hole with hole saw in the floor pan, and then reinstalled a plug to close the hole. Another posted that he was able to drop everything down enough to access it from above between the firewall and engine. Maybe someone will have better luck finding the posts...

The trans was leaking enough to cause it to smoke when it hit the exhaust. I was wondering if I need to take it to a transmission shop to get the fluid sucked out or if I could go to schuck's and find a tool to do the job. On the computer display it doesn't read transmission malfunction so I believe the the transmission itself is okay. But the fluid was leaking by where the drive shaft meets the transmission so I'm thinking that it could be a seal as well.

You don't need to worry about the ATF until you get it back together, then you can do a mechanical fluid exchange and add an auxiliary ATF cooler.

Here's Farfetched's drill-a-hole method, but it was a Y33, not a G50:

Squeefoo also managed it on a G50:
