so i did a search on the topic but couldnt find anything...

Am i alone in thinking that the 90-93 front ends on the Q45 look really out of place? anyway i was looking at this 94 and the front ends are the only thing that looked different among the entire car... so would be be easy(cheap) or possible (exensive) to do the front end swap on the Q to a newer and more fitting front, without spending $900 on a bodykit?

90-93 Qs are HOT! 94 Qs are a bland compromise of a car!

That's because you don't have a 1st Gen. I don't see how a person could or would want to put a 94 front end on a 1st gen and ruin it! If you don't like the look then don't buy a 1st gen, buy the 94. They are not the same car, so please don't Frankenstien a 1st gen.

Yeah. What made me fall in love with the car was the lack of a grille. That billet grille that became standard on 94's are ugly to me. I love the sloping hood and the Infiniti logo.

I'm into German cars through genetics(Lawl.) I absolutely hate grilleless front ends.

Indeed. It looks more seamless and smooth. The grille interups that seamless and smooth style. Makes me wonder if Chip Foose would like the 1st gen. The grille is fine for the 94's and up, but just not the 90-93's.

You Grille folks can go ahead and "catch' some air, I prefer to slice through it!

Come on now, you know that was a good one ^..

I like the Wald kit too. How much would everything be all together? Spoiler, front, back, and side kits?

I'd have to get those installed and painted too right? Are they easy to do yourself or do I need to have it installed by a pro?

I've been thinking of doing things in pieces. Well just to spoiler first. I can't have a front body kit and stock skirts and rear. That'll have to be purchased together. But I can just buy the spoiler and have that installed right? Would the Q still look good?

If the kits come to you and they are not painted they'll be black and you'll need a special Urithaine primer for them that coats and seals them up. Then you'll be able to paint them without having the paint crack on you when they dry. Depending on your skills you could install the kit yourself, but if you have doubts then have someone who knows what they are doing install it. Just remember not to paint over a non painted kit unless you have put that special primer on it first.

thanks. But what about the cost? Like what would a Wald spoiler cost me? And can I take the spoiler to Maaco or something and get it painted?

i just hate the way the bumper in the front curves back into the lip... it looks goofy, i like the front end otherwise, to change it i think it would be cheaper to swap front ends with a rear wreck 94+ rather then score a whole kit for around $900 + paint

see my point?
