that's cool. Ft. hood? you in the army? If so do you know a girl named kristal garnica?DRFT(kinda) wrote:Kinda forgot to take those. I'll take some tomorrow and then post them up.
Yup, in the Army I am. I don't know if I've meet her, and honestly, there is 80,000 (no typo) people that work on post so the chances are kinda slim that I would.zerepdivad wrote:

No. Stock compression is 9.1:1.Quote »2. any other electronic upgrades in order to run your car with all the parts, mainly the turbo
If your car has a single cam stock, then yes, and mostly just swapping in a dual cam wire harness. Besides that, not really.Quote »3. 50lb injectors, what is the cc rating
There are right around the 500cc area.Quote »4. did you do all the work yourself and if yes, details and pics please!!!
No. I have had 2 different shops do the work on my car. I did all the research while I was in Iraq, bought parts via the internet and then had then shipping back to Texas. Since I'm back though I do do a lot of the work now, but its all post-build stuff.Quote »5. psi and hp ratings or approx. ratings???
Right now I'm at 7psi because of the break in. Horsepower should be near the 400 area once I get it broke in, turn the boost up, and smooth out the bugs.Spiffy240 wrote:

you mean 9.5:1DRFT(kinda) wrote:No. Stock compression is 9.1:1.
You don't need new valves or springs. You can use your stock head, rebuild the bottom end with aftermarket pistons, and rods. a t3/t4 turbo or gt30 or higher turbo... then all the basics like fmic, 550 injectors won't get you much past 350whp. No need for a new fuel rail unless you want to go with top mount injectors..It's really easy to make power out of the KA. I was making around 275whp on only 8psi from a gt35. I had my 440cc injectors maxed out. I have 810cc's now though. lol.Spiffy240 wrote:wow, thanks for the fast responseim looking to make around 350-400hp with my motori want to get new rods, pistons, cams, valves and springs, and then go with a t3/t04e turbo with 555cc injectors, walbro pump, maybe an upraded fuel rail if need be along with other electronics
could you be able to give me some advice in researching for the ka-t.Some website or other helpful tips??
any y did u go for a lower compression ratio?
