I searched, and searched, and found nothing.I read an article about installing 6X9 speakers in where the stock door speakers are for an S13, but I can't find anything anymore.

Anyone got anything, a write up, a link?ANYTHING to steer me in the right direction.

ive personally tried it. it wont work unless you let it bulge out of the actual door panel.

make sure when you do try mounting it, see if the speakers hit the windows down.

theres a reason its not widely done.

6x9's offer some of the worst sound quality out there while requiring some of the highest wattage consumption... its lose/lose.

you probably should not be attempting this since you are not fully aware of what you are doing. take it to a local reputable shop and have them put 6.5" speakers in the OEM door location with custom baffle plates.

The good thing about 6x9's is their increased (woofer) cone area moves more air and thus can produce more sound than would a 6.5 with the same excursion.

The bad news is no one really makes high quality 6x9's. So you get inferior woofers, tweeters, XO's, ect...More bad news, they're deep and the extra cone area weighs more and thus transmits more energy into their mounting surface. So you have to add more sound deadening to your door, if you can even get it to fit.
