Modified by toadx8u at 8:40 PM 12/4/2008[/quote] Email Kyle about the tracking info. In the last email I got from him he said he would send on the tracking info to each person (he called it con notes -whatever that means)

Here is another crappy cell pic with the wastegate mounted.
Can you take a pic a lil bit further out? I'd like to see where the w/g is placed against the master cylinder.

Well my dilemma is that i told him i would be running a 38 now and i thought i told him that i would eventually upgrade to a 44 but the message didnt go through so ive got a 38mm outlet. The question is can i stll run a v44 tial on the 38mm outlet and be okay?

400whp with the 20. Im gonna be looking at near 6 with the 25 im building. I was just wondering if i could weld a flange on there for the 44mm and it still work and hold boost fine

I think you'll be okay with the 38mm and 400whp. But I'd be looking at dual 38's for 600rwhp.. I don't think pipe size is the only factor, I think the w/g valve lift will also play a role too.

MATTs14 wrote:So we all got the same size pipe for the outlet??? And i will be glad to share any and all info i have with you. Im glad to see that someone else is going this route. Im worried now that my wastegate outlet is too small. I assumed they were all the same size. Does yours appear to be the same size pipe as the rest of the manifold??? ANd mine is forward facing btw
Matt I just measured the diameter of my wastegate tube on the manifold. It measured 44mm ID.

Well, I wasn't able to grab my camera today....but here's a pic showing the wastegate in relation to the brake MC. There is a surprising amount of space even with a WG this big.

Matt, can you do me a favor? On your wastegate, can you measure the inside diameter of the flange that bolts to the manifold on your 38mm wastegate? I'm not sure what part of this is supposed to be 38mm, but the ID of that flange on my wastegate is like 32mm, and the outlet of the wastegate I believe is 38mm.

I'm kind of confused, and worried I got ripped off... Also, is yours a tial? I have a Turbonetics deltagate, it was advertised as a 38mm.

Thanks

The 38mm refers to the valve diameter, not the inlet or outlets

Hmm okay, that will be a little more difficult to measure lol. Still seems like its maybe a 35 and not a 38. Im gonna be really pissed if thats the case

I dont have my tial yet lol. But like he says it is the valve diameter. IF it is a 35 just use it for now and cut the flange off and upgrade later. This is what i'll do or get the adapter as mentioned above

I'm not 100% sure but it will fit the 44mm tial flange. That adapter I posted above should work.
