What would your opinion be with swapping in a KAAZ or Cusco LSD and calling it a day? Think it would last long?
Was anything changed in your rear end besides basically the pumpkin? I don't blame you if you don't want to go into detail.
it's no problem, the R200 and RS200 are both named for having a 200mm ring gear. The RS200 however has 1/3 more thickness to it's ring gear, and contains a stronger LSD clutch system. The basic idea is that thicker = stronger, and so far they're right. The changes are simple. VLSD Output shafts, RS200 Differential, and some custom reinforcement (plate aluminum 1/4" thick) for mounting.
takes about a day's worth of work to get everything in and lined up perfectly, but is well worth the time not to have to do it again
A Kaaz or Cusco unit is rated by how much horsepower it can withstand. Most high HP cars using them don't really break the 500ftlb mark in torque, so there's no worry in how much it can withstand. I honestly don't know what you would be able to put to the ground through one, and for how long...
