4hi doesn't work

So this is my first post, I can't seem to find anything on my issue, and I don't even know if I'm posting this properly, so I hope I get some replies and some help.

I have a 1999.5 R50 pathfinder, its autoMatin but has the stick for the 4wd, anyways- neutral is what I've always driven in, the odd time I put it in 4lo, but I can't and haven't ever been able to put it above neutral into 4hi/2hi. Anybody know why?
I'm the second owner of this beauty, and I can almost guarantee the old owners never took it off road. They babied this thing. And they have gotten the recalls dealt with. She's also at 415,000 km
I don't know what else to say. Hopefully you guys can give me some tips. Hope it's not the tcase
