i dont know why everyone is so surprised about VQ's handling boost. in Japan the Cedric's (i think thats how you spell it) come out of the factory turbo.

another thing...the japanese like to twin-turbo that engine. i think its like an alternative for the RB. I doesn't make as much power as the RB's but its alot lighter...more track suited.

they use em in the JGTC skylines , because they make every bit of opwer the RB does, and besides, why not use the fill 3.o liters allowed

MOTOP are you the same MOTOP of Club4ag fame?

BTW i definately think it's cause the scales are different. If you raise the Torque up to the HP scale they cross where they should...

as much as i love the VQ. there's no way it make's the same amount of power as the RB's. even some of the single turbo RB's make alot of power.

Rob,

I've been asked this question before. The guy you're talking about is Moto P. We're two different people. MOTOP is russian spelling for word MOTOR, I'm russian, hence the nick.

No. VG's are before the 95's. 95 is the first year of a 4th gen maxima = VQ.

this is my car (although it is much more commonly found with stock wheels, stock turn sigs, etc)

iliketocrash...he's making alot of power, but vette's i dont know. hal no disrespect...making that much power in a family sedan is just down right impressive.i dont know how fast your car is. but i don't know about pulling up to a vette and smokin' it, aspecially with 4 others in the car.i hear z06 come out of the factory pushing 420 horses...with some good tires they can pull mid-low 12's. but if you can...please disregard the top part of this post.

dude you still get me....i'm not worried about the block taking that much boost. what i am worried about is the piston and rods?!?! you're telling me VQ30de stock piston's can handle that much power? dude your engine defy phyics...

yeah a Z06 comes with 405hp, HUGE dif from 405whp. keep that in mind. (assuming a reasonable 15% drivetrain loss) compare it in hp, my car has ~560hp vs a Z06's 405. I have run them before at a roll, and it's almost not fun.. I haven't done it with 4 people in the car, but I'd still be willing to put $ on that race haha. a redlight a Z06 I'm sure could jump me driven well, but I am able to pull consistent 2.0-1 60' on stock wheels+tires, so consider that launch and I'm making over 33% more power than one...... ? doesn't take abut a second till it's all bad for him.

My pistons I have found to hold up to ~14psi pretty safely (assuming tuned well enough)... 15+ is where i run into trouble, always from pistons. rods and headgasket, etc dont give me problems, its always pistons. Pretty shocking even to me that a stock 10:1 motor will do that, but I dont complain.

sleeper nothin man, even a stock maxima i KNOW has some power to it. I know it can mock my stock 240sx, and it can whoop a lot of cars and trucks on the road.

But totally mocking a Z06 Vette with a carload of people would be too funny. make it better buy filling the trunk with luggage, have the trunk half open and tied down. get 4 of your biggest firends to sit in the car. If i was the Vette owner, i'd have to cry.
