Now before everyone goes torching me to crisp. Quit with all the bandwagon crap, this is my 2nd SR20. My first was back in '01. So here it is, I'm getting this from a guy who works at a local 240 tuning shop.

Redtop S13 SRHKS GT2530Rocker arm stoppersZ32 MAFOS Giken single plate clutch and flywheelAftermarket downpipe, turbo manifold, turbo elbow(I didn't ask as the brand as he had me at HKS turbo)Tuned ECUKoyo radiator270 hp @17psi on a Mustang dyno(now those who knows. Knows that hp ratings are lower on a Mustang dyno.)Not too big of a deal, but the wiring is already done up for a S13...Hey that's like mine!

That's all I remember for right now. The motor is still in his car and I'm going to check it out tomorrow, before Superbowl ofcourse. Go GIANTS!!!!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. It comes with a S14 transmission(I didn't know S14 transmission's worked on S13 motors). With the intercooler he wants $4500. I figured I could just get a brand new Greddy LS spec for less than $500.

$2500? That's less than what some importers charged for a stock redtop S13 motorset. Then again, I did forget to mention that the motor comes with a transmission too.

I'd say that's a safe $3500 dollar purchase. Three grand seems too low for all those goodies, I don't think he will go for it.

Man, we got some lowballin' @ss guys here on NICO. I mean I don't want to pay more than what it's worth, but come on. Remember a stock redtop will probably cost about $2300 shipped.

Thanks lofapoo for not making me feel crazy for thinking $4000. Atleast you're being real.

Not low ballers, but cheap people here on NICO, lol

On a serious note - that turbo alone is worth more than a lot of people's cars on here.

$1100 for a front clip? My first front clip was $2500 delivered and this was back in 2001 right before the drift inflation and from my uncle's shop. 300 hp for $3000? If you guys know something I don't, you guys need to hook a brother up. I've been looking everywhere and the cheapest I've found a SR20 motorset for is $1800 shipped. After a new fmic, dp, clutch, flywheel, and maintenance parts my total came out to about $4000 already. So either you guys are bs'ing or you got lucky on a one chance deal.

My SR was free, so yes that was a one chance deal and everyday JDM motorsets increase in price, but motorsets can be found on the cheap, you just have to be patient.

I've been very patient for years. During Dec there was a guy with a black top. He was willing to do the install himself including motor and transmission for $2600. Then last month I had a deal for a redtop w/ S15 turbo and ogura clutch and flywheel for $2800. Now this one. I just get concerned when it's too cheap. Atleast this one's still in the guy's car so I can check it out and really see how it drives.

Boso garage sells a stock S13 redtop motorset installed for $3500. I think $4k is appropriate. Otherwise the guy would be getting ripped off.

I'm paying $2500 for my redtop installed...includes the transmission, a koyo rad with 2 electric fans, front mount, etc. etc. Full swap.

I'd say $4000 is a little much.

Did anyone look up the prices for that HKS turbo and the OS Giken clutch? $4k for full swap with those aftermarket price is well worth.

I don't think a lot of people take into considerations the cost of the turbo, the clutch and the flywheel.

Around here there are three shops within a 30 mile radius of me. The cheapest I've found around here is $3800 for a basic redtop installed or $2200 for a stock redtop motorset.

I admit it, I am leaning a lot towards getting it. The prices around here are crazy. I'll have my mind made up when I go see it tomorrow. I appreciate everyone's opinions.

Well, I just got done checking out the motor. This thing pulls pretty damn hard. With 255 tires in the rear and a cusco lsd, the car had no traction whatsoever. It didn't help that the ground was a little wet though. He's throwing in the intercooler with hotpipe and blitz bov. I forgot to mention the 550cc's injectors he has on this thing too. On the mustang dyno it pulls 270 whp 250 lb/ft torque and AFR of 12:3. Plus he's going to deliver it right to my house. This deal might not be as good as some of the deals you guys got, but it's the best deal I've gotten so far.

Well the HKS turbo is a big plus, and if he's throwing in the other stuff too it's not bad, but it's not good. But, if you've driven it and everything checks out, go for it!

Go for it bro! With the mods and everything, I spent more and still have problems. So not so much of a bad deal. GL!

The turbo alone is about 1800 new IIRC.

A local guy that's worked for a few of the local shops...he wants an S14 SR for his S14, so I reap the benefits. Granted it's not a professional install, but he knows what he's doing and I've driven it and it's good to go...pulls hard.

Also, there's a local guy that wants to trade his HKS T25 for a stock T25 +$300...so $1800 for the turbo sounds a little much to me?
