this wouldn't really work on the Hatch... i'm tryna think of other nissans that have offset lights like the Coupe and Vert. but here's a video of the mod.

pretty sick if you ask me.

uh... a hidden gastank cap so noone can steal your gas?a shaved quarterpanel for a clean look, especially if you shave the door handles and have a keyless entry?it's a kewl mod that would be something to brag about?the humour involved in your G/F trying to fill up your car?

lol what else would be the point?

Are you going to hide it or brag about it?

I personally do not think it would be wise try and do both.

Just my 2 pennies.

pretty cool, but the only thing is the wires for the light could get ripped pretty bad after doing that alot. which i do fill my gas tank quite often.

Can't find it right now, but there's a motorized version on s14. You can find a video on youtube.

If you like he super clean look maybe you should have your door handles too.

For real cars have fuel tanks, why hide the fact. Also, all gas pumps seem to drip, so now you have fuel smell in the trunk. And what happens when you hit a bump and your light goes all sideways (reason to get pulled over).

As for the stash box comment, behind the light is the trunk, not too good of a stash box.

You close the light so quick I can't see what's going on. For cleanliness, but it doesn't seem to practical.

i'm sure there's a way to make sure the wires are good and if you notice it takes a bit of pressure to make it turn... and it's turning horizontally so a bump won't make it turn. as for the gas spilling... i've gotten pretty good at being able to fill up without dripping on the car.

and btw... thaz not me or my car. i have an 88 legend... it's got slightly wrapped around lights so i can't do it on mine.

+1 on the chevy's tail light gastank caps... anyone also remember the license plate gastank tubes?

i actually kinda want to do the license plate one on my s13 hatch. ;]

and i know that cars are supposed to have gastanks and door handles...

it's a personal mod for personal preference... me personally... i've always liked the look of shaved doors and i think it'd be kewl to have a car that looks that clean... to where the only lines you have on it are from the hood, doors and bumpers.

as for the details, i'll see if i can get some more info on it.

that's all i have for now... just thought it'd be kewl to share with you guys. the Legend community is pretty tight too.

True,

It's getting harder year by year to do something NEW on S-Chassis....**** popular looks from the 90's are coming back into the 240 scene.

Somebody did that to an S14 a few years back. Though his was way cooler, you pull the regular fuel door release lever, and the passenger taillight pops out slightly. Grab the light, and pull in straight out, and rotate it up to access fuel cap. It was done extremely well, and it functioned perfectly.

That being said, shaving things is stupid, especially door handles. The last thing I want to do is make it impossible for my car to pass tech at the race track.

i'm wantin to have a separate car for track. my 240 is still in really good condition. a few fixes here and there and she'll be pretty sharp. the interiors still pretty good too... sides the damn dash cuz of the sun while she's been in the driveway. i'll have to get another. was thinkin of learning how to just fix it. there's practically no rust on her except where the OEM spoiler attaches. so.. i'm kinda wantin to make the white one harder to steal. a keyless entry and no doorhandles... with a release button hidden just in case ..would be nice. gonna put on longer OEM window locks at the top of the doorframe. pretty much just rectangulish peices of black metal that are anchored to the top of the doorframe near the rear of the window.... so you can't pull the window out.

maybe one day down the road put threaded holes all over the bottom of the car to have a removable full-length, venting skid plate. you say it's a little much... i say... i'm down for a Gumball run.. lol
