Too big of a single turbo can take a while to spool. I remember watching one of those 1000hp supra videos and the guy had to hit his nitrous right off the line so the turbo would spool up in time for his 1/4 mile run lol.

Cheaper to buy and easier to install too ( which means less install cost, if you dont DIY which most dont)

And since you have a stock motor no need to spend too much on the turbo setup since your payoff will be limited to what the stock motor can handle anyway.Which is abut 400-420 at the motor/350-370 at the wheels before (at least IMO) the risk to your motor becomes way out of proportion.

Add a water/metch kit and there are people running boosted cars at 420-430 to the wheels reliably and safely for over 10K miles now.

400 to the wheels is generally known as the max you want to push the stock block though. Rod bolts become a weak point.

I think the Greddy Twins are the way to go if you have the $$. I know a guy boosted who built his motor and went from 389 rwhp to 650 rwhp and he's been running safely for a long time now.
