mhmhm. But you are leaving out some EXTREMELY renowned editions of the camaro. The sunoco edition done by GMMG in 02 as well as the Berger SS w/ 400HP and an amazing suspension, cant leave out the d!ck Herrell edition either, and last but not least ZL1 camaro thats just shy of a supercar with a touch over 600HP and a race-car like suspension under it(hit up gmmginc.net for more info on any of those ). As well as the stripper balls to the wall 1LE version of the Z28's that had crank windows, no AC, balsier suspension and engine mounts as well as redesigned transmission mounts. *shrug*... My past years of working on that Z are flooding back.. somebody stop me now lmao.adidas2go wrote:
Well the Vette has multiple electronic suspension settings along with more powerful engine options than any out of the factory SS or Z28. IE- Grand Sport and ZR1 packages. A sports car doesn't necessarily have to be fast either. A sports car does not require a large, powerful engine, though many do have them. Some classic British sports cars lacked powerful engines, but were known for exceptional handling due to light weight, a well-engineered, balanced chassis, and modern suspension. On tight, twisting roads, such an automobile performs more effectively than a heavier, more powerful luxury sports car with less maneuverability. The RX-8 is most definitely a sports car. It defines a sports car to a T. Exceptional handling, near perfect weight distribution, powerful engine, light weight, and aesthetics. That car was built by Mazda/Ford to be a sports car out of the box with the key element harping on mechanical performance. It wasn't built for any other purpose other than the pure driving experience. Now its debatable whether or not it actually captured that, but it was definitely built to do that
Well, I was talking about packages offered by Chevy itself. Not companies that built onto them later. This is why I didn't bring up Lingenfelter and suchracingtiger03 wrote:

ok ok, so take away my lovely little sunoco, and d!ck herrells haha. Still though the 1LE and ZL1 were both offered by chevrolet. (not the 98-02 ZL1, the previous body style (93-97) but not sure which it was produed as a ZL1) I remember seeing one of those once selling upwards of 700k.. Dunno if it ever sold though haha!adidas2go wrote:

Well, if my knowledge stands correct. The ZL1 you refer to, was never sold to the public and only 1 was ever made (post 1969). So take that one away too. Ill give you the 1LE, that was a most definitely a sports car.racingtiger03 wrote:
