OK. Let's get it over with. What are the advantages of having a 2Way LSD over a welded differential besides no tire skipping. I just want to make sure I'm not throwing in 1000 bucks for an LSD when a welded diff performs and feels the same (except for the tire skipping thing).

Just for extra info: I rock 17x9 wheels which are pretty wide and have plenty of grip. I hear welded diffs will give me a hell of a time with steering, but what about steering once I picked up speed?

Watch this and then ask yourself should both wheels go the same speed all the time. a 2 way doesn't slip much at all but it does more than a locked diff

For a road car, buy the 2 way.

I run a welded diff in the rally car, which is great on gravel, but understeers terribly on tarmac unless I really manhandle it. It also makes low speed manuevering a b****.

A 2 way would have provided the same benifits for me save one. In the event of a broken axle, I can still drive out, where as a 2 way will eventually leave me stranded.
