2jz? how much work is really involved???

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

how much work is really involved in swapping in a 2jz? What i mean is i know you need the following things:

-mounts (tech2)-driveshaft (tech2)- crossmember (tech2)-custom wireharness(makes it so much less of a pain(tech2)-Custom heat and a/c lines (because i want a/c)- cusyom aftermarket radiator (tech2)- 1jz-r154 trans ( getting 1jz so i dont have to swap bellhousing)

anything else that im missing?

because once you order the swap kit you still need an extra 2000-3000 in parts and etc......

This is tru but once you go turbo with your KA your officaly $1500 farther from the 2jz swap. You could keep the intercooler but I guess... But it depends how bad you want the swap. So far I spent about 5k in parts for my car to prep it for the swap. And once I put the wheels on, roll the fenders, and install the brakes I will offically start saving for the swap.

Also I 2x that BS flag remark. And I also still don't believe the 1600whp 350z post either. People can type what ever they want but until I see dyno sheets I will not be happy

you can b.s all you want ......that **** was at Pinks All Out, i saw it with my own eyes and its not even 75% of its potential. i was told the car should make 2000whp once its track ready. i took a picture of it and the motor with the body flipped up so you can see the motor. should be a mid 7 sec car.

I was not trying to be offensive. It is just there is no way that I can believe a claim like that until I see some sort of proof. I don't see how the engine would even resemble a KA anymore if it had 2000 rwhp. Can you post up the picture you took? I mean back in the late 70's the formula one cars were getting almost 1000 bhp per litre during qualifying, but they were running over 60 psi of boost. I just find it hard to believe that someone was capable of doing that to a KA. Must have spent trillions of dollars.

Hmm ok well he could of told you that it was a D15 running 1000 psi... Whould you believe that?

Idk dude. Post this picture (which will do nothing for those claimed horsepower #s, unless he had his dyno sheet stamped onto his valve cover)

see you guys are thinking a street car, this is a drag car fiber glass body and etc. Its a 4.0 liter ka, the block is a bit taller than a normal ka. if i can email the pic i took can you post it for me. big *** tubbed wheels and all.

i am just surprised that anyone even did this to a KA motor because people swap in sr20 all the time.

If it were running 8's or 9', I'd agree but its running mid 6's... that takes a ton of power.

mid 7's this is not a street can by any means, its a fiber glass flip up body the motor sits right in front of the driver. I don tknow what class it was in but it ran with the 1500whp celica in that class. These are tube chasis i think is what they call them

So what exactly makes it a KA? The block is different, the head is different, the bottom end is different. Maybe it has the KA valve cover or something.

Any who, post this picture under a general catagory or under the KA engine fourm and we will battle it out over there.
