Haha I guess it's the whole thing about not pushing it...I do tend to push my car sometimes, for sure, I mean, that's why I got it in the first place right!and it probably depends a lot on the traffic too, I sometimes get stuck in heavy rush hour traffic, and I'm sure that kills my fuel efficiency.

Iv'e got a 3.5 with Injen intake and stillen axel back. 60/65mphno problem 29/30 mpg while crusing. One problem there is a low frq.sound from the Stillen. I am working on a solution. I don't think Stillenis too interested in helping. I could be wrong but we shall see.

I get 30 on the hIGHWAY in my old 02 SE Sedan

I would expect the new Cp to do better than that

Well since I've installed the Injen and stillen cat-back I've notice my tank is lasting about 50 more miles now. That's always a plus!

Wow..that is quite an increase. If that is the reason for the improvement...they will pay for themself in no time flat

Yeah no kidding. I've had both the components on now for about 3 weeks. The exhaust has quieted down a lot and is very mellow when you're doing steady cruising like I do to work. But when I have to pass someone, you know that there's an exhaust! I guess the engine is working efficiently as it should be.

Hold on guys, when did this thread change from making fun of rjdmmfl1 into a serious discussion about our gas mileage?

Please resume the ridicule...

Just kidding, my next post is going to be about how I shocked myself putting in HIDs since I forgot to disconnect the negative terminal during the install.

My sedan has only about 5,000 miles on it, and it's about a year old. I took in on one trip which was almost all interstate, and got 32mpg, driving to keep up with the traffic- 75mph, mostly. On another trip, into DC, on mostly interstate. but some driving around the city, it got 29. Usually, around town, it's 22 or 23. It would seem to me that the coupe should do better, since it's lighter.

Since it's fun bringing up dead threads, I'll take a stab at it...

I usually monitor the mpg I get with my car with each full tank fill up (which is about 80% of the time unless I'm in a hurry at the gas pump). My average has always been about 420-460 miles to the tank unless I drove locally more than usual. That translates to roughly 21-23 MPG.

My only mods so far are an 2.5" ebay exhaust at installed at 1500 miles, and RL Y-pipe which I got at 30k miles or something. Didn't notice any difference in MPG. I drive 40 to work and 41 miles back to home. Speeds are anywere from 35-75 mph, with the 40-65 mph range giving the best RANGE estimates on the computer.

Here's a picture of the dash after having driven 40 miles to work this morning with a 19 gallon fill up last night (almost ran the car down to the exact last drop... always fun). As you can see if I keep driving on the highway with very few stop lights on the way, I should get very close to 500+ miles (but I've seen this total estimate before, but I usually never reach more than 450-460 miles before I need to fill up bad consistently).

my last trip was about 50 miles one way and by the time I got back home I was at 28.5-29.1mpg averaging about 67mph. I'm happy with that. In town I run about 17-20mpg.

I had an '05 Altima 3.5SL. I reset the mpg gauge before hitting the road on a 2 hour trip... when I pulled off the interstate, it read 29.5mpg. When I manually calculated, it was actually 27. Still not bad for a 3.5, but I was also driving around 70mph on cruise control most of the way.

Then I sold the car and purchased an '06 M35, the absolute best that I ever reached was 22mpg, but usually around 15 in the city and 19 on the highway. It was nice and fully loaded with every available option, but wasn't worth the gas that I was throwing into it.

I traded the M in for an Altima 2.5SL after getting a job that required me to commute every day. This car calculated 26mpg mixed driving on the last tank. I don't regret getting rid of the M at all, however I do miss having a respectable amount of power.
