- H233B swap from a H190(in progress)

Post

So I did a Rear axle swap, and I knew the drive shaft wouldn't mix up the new axle So I was gonna have a new pinion yoke made or somehow get it to mesh with the old driveshaft.

The Axle I pull was from a 87 Nissan pickup believe it was a 4x4, Axle code HG41, a H233B I believe with limited slip. The Pinion/Pinion yoke seems to be 27 Spline but I can find any info anywhere about 27 spline or parts for them, Looked around quite a bit. Everywhere I look it seems to say they are only 31 spline or 33 spline??? Has anyone heard about a 27 spline h233b and maybe know of a place I can find a yoke for it?

Found this http://www.4wheelparts.com/Drivetrain-D ... oductSpecs

Just not sure if it work

A few Numbers were on the axle itself
- 5Z2
- ND596
- 2AG7 (by the fill plug)

(Once I figure out how to put pictures on I'll get some on.)

references to 31 and 33 spline refer to the axle shafts themselves and not the pinion spline count.

The pinion yoke should be interchangeable on all H233s, though I do believe there's a couple different bolt patterns on the flanges out there

Oh okay, Good to know. Guess I just didn't fully understand what it meant, Thanks!

As Far as my project I did get the axle attached to my old driveshaft, The smaller one that goes to the H190 originally.
Went to a local machine shop and they got an adapter made for me and works perfect since there was a gap between the driveshaft(don't worry off stands). Connected it perfectly without having to move the driveshaft at all from where it normally goes!

Might paint over it. Haven't decided yet.

Anyway thanks for the responses! Helped me out!

Too bad you didn't post sooner. All you needed was the flange off an H233B equipped truck driveshaft, and it would have fit perfectly on your existing H190 driveshaft. The Ujoints are the same.

Might have been a lot cheaper to source a junkyard driveshaft for parts.
