Has anyone ever stuck a 20v AE86 motor into a 240?? Anythoughts on the swap? besides, WTF?

I'm starting a new project car in a few weeks and want something interesting to do. It will be a '94 convertable, probably s13 or s15 front conv. I was thinking the 20v would be a good motor, high revving, and ITB's are bad ***. Otherwise I wanted to ITB the KA24DE, but i want something to be revhappy.

What do you guys think? or give me other suggestions for a motor.

Anything is possible, but the 4AGE is only a 1.6, and its very peaky, it will not be well suited to pushing around a heavy S chassis. In my opinion, its not worth all the extra work to put a toyota motor in, when there are so many posibilitys from Nissan, if you want good NA power, I would suggest a built SR20DET bottom end, with the SR20VE head, you could spin it all the way to 9K. If you have to have a toyota motor though, I would suggest a built 3SGE.

Why is this in the technical forum? Look man, all the swaps have been thought out. I know you are really wanting to beat the system or whatever, but just go with what works. Don't try to forge any new paths, because if you are good enough to forge new paths, then you aren't someone that needs to ask people what they think of an engine idea. Just go with something popular, trust me you will be satisfied with the gains.

coming from an ae86 background ill just go ahead and say it u will be downgrading.. the blacktop only generates around 120 at the wheels in the hachi.. throw that in your 240 and u prolly will never reach 3rd gear..lol.. let alone the tq is non existant. stop watching initial d and drive your car man.

that means the black top 20v in that picture is in a corolla.

see where the vin plate is located? for people that aren't familear with corolla engine bay.. that's not where the 240sx's vin plate is located at.

you know what I dont see often, heavy, American iron in a 240. Maybe try that, I've seen a ford 302 done, but it was that car with the foxbody front, ew. But maybe give that a look, you could make power easily enough, but with that much wieght in the front, cornering wouldnt be much of an option haha

go get a v8 from a camaro/firebird...and toss it in. Bullet proof engines and you will be satisfied with the overall horses.Gl with whatever you do.....I applaud your interest in something out of the ordinary.
