unless me couldnt drive at all theres no way thats true. the only other way is if u were doing like 20 ft races before the 7 gets into teh power band. i've raced a dohc s13 in my 90 NA fc and smacked him all over. of course the ka has better power at the low end, but once a rotaries in its power band it really comes alive. i've owned an fc and 3 s13s and i can easily say my fc was faster (not including my current s13 w/ sr) but lacked torque

Idk it was a 3/10ths of a mile. I had no power steering, no ac, and a 1 piece driveshaft (I heard that makes a difference). So if your saying the powerband is at 7k its only a 1k powerband cuz the redline is 8. I guess i should rephrase my OP, I didnt smoke him, I beat him by a car length.

I appreciate the comments from those that know something, I was calling bs as he was telling the story. As for you trolls, well trolls will be trolls... You have to get your post count up somehow since you can't do it with knowledge.

Of course he was telling you BS. The funny thing is you asking us if it is or not.

Oh I see you were saying the "7" as in the Rx7. Well it is stock though. I mean i knew the 1 piece makes a difference but how much could it be. I heard around 5-10 rwhp. Its not even an expensive 1 piece from one of our sponsors. It came with my old car and I kept hearing about how much it makes a difference, so I kept it. Other than that and a CAI its stock as hell. Plus he had the gxl which is probably more weight cuz of all the extra power everything (including suspension).Heres a pic of my driveshaft.

Found a Jap website with something interesting on it... You'll have to do a bablefish translation on it if you want to decipher it though.

http://www.lcv.ne.jp/~yuki180/...i.htm

Basicly it looks like a history of the 180sx. Here is the section that it seems to mention a "Type X Nismo" 180sx

"Special specification car "TYPE X NISMO" "TYPE R SPORTS" sale

Strut tower bar & sport muffler side sill protector of NISMO make were equipped especially in TYPE X NISMO.In TYPE R SPORTS, the sport muffler audio & the diver city less of side sill protector strut tower bar NISMO make were equipped especially. The platinum white pearl sets as a special paint color."

Anyway... that's my discovery.

Lol this is almost as good as when my friend told me a stock RB20 had 300 horsepower. But seriously though this dude probably had a Super Hicas with a nismo sticker and was like dude I got a Nismo Edition.

yeah i thought u might have gotten the "7" confused, all good though. i agree that a driveshaft wont do "that" much but when ppl say bone stock i tend to take it literally lol. that is a nice looking driveshaft though. there was no gxl in 91 thu, but they are a little heavier (mine is gxl) but still might be lighter than s13 hatch, not sure though. i know its not real bad and it still pulls well

Yeah I guess it was a 90. His car was bone stock literally. But Rx7s are badass. Series 5 only and FD.
