But that was in Japan. ;-) While cars such as the 350Z, Evo, STI, etc may be finding plenty of buyers, how could Nissan justify spending R&D money on developing another RWD chassis to put a strong I4 engine in that will cost a little less than a base 350Z? If it came to a next generation 250SX for $18,000-22,000, or a 350Z for $26,000-28,000, which would you do? Which would Nissan do, especially considering that they would have to recoup any R&D costs on such a 250SX before any of the sales could be considered profit, not to mention possible lost profits on current 350Z's by people not purchasing them in anticipation of a 250SX. As an enthusiast, I would love to see a 240/250SX. But from a business standpoint, I just don't see it. :-)
