HOLY f***. I can't stand reading this kid's posts anymore. Threadlockplzkthkz.

Dude, if you want to turn your car into a full on drift car. At your age; that's dumb.Do what has already been stated. DD it, track it on occasion or whenever possible.Hell, before you even do that. You might want to get it running, rust free, and safe enough to back it out of your driveway.POST PICS.

People aren't trying to flame you, you're making it difficult for some of us to help you. So it's natural for the Nico'ians to humiliate you.

I doubt your dad and grandpa are going to spend 1500 bucks to rebuild a KA, then throw out another 2-3k for a Turbo setup, then another 2-3k for suspension, 1k'sh on wheels, 1k'sh on brakes, 300 for a cage, 300 for a seat.Goodluck.Not trying to be a d!ck, but you should ask your neighborhood crack dealer for a part time job.

Have fun with the 3 year build.

Ignorant is a tad harsh, seems to me he is just alittle niave

My only recommendation would be to make sure you keep the racing on the track and off of the street, and that includes drifting. That last thing you want to do is, like previously mentioned, hit a drift or even worse, hurt someone else.

why does everyone say this? i drive my full on race car on the street all the time. cage, heim everything, custom knuckles, diff etc. and to be truthful these cars are dime a dozen old piles of s***. stop worrying about them being hard to find

s*** 14 y/o drivers is common here. i saw some kid looked like he just came out of his mothers womb driving a huge suv. if you want to build a 240 you'll need two jobs or a rich dad and a second car. simple as that. good luck also post pics of said 240 or

hahaha maybe this will make his sack drop lol geezzz thats one reason i decided to quit my teaching job. It got old listening to kids who think they know everything and ignore everything people are trying to say! I say we lock this thing up and just let the young man figure things out on his own. His going to ignore all the helpful things you gentleman have said, so why waste our times?!

should get the car running first before you decide what you want to make it.

aftewardsid get coilovers and welded diff first, and probably new bushings. before i start spending money on brand new rims.

but if u have the money do what you want. since your 14 and your grandpa and dad have been working on cars their whoooole lives.

and so what if he wants to work on his own 240 and crash it, crashing is part of drifting. you cant mean to tell me that you all havent damaged your car in some way while drifting?!

but yeah always do your research man.

its your choice just dont be so naive about it.

The time spent on here could be spent looking for a source of income and if you let mommy and daddy pay for everything that's just low. You can use their hard earned money on something decent, something useful, drifting is a money pit, and a waste of money but people do it anyway.

^Thank you! This thread is just cracking me up... Drifting is as good as dead. The only ones who still keep it around professionally are the magazines and the movies. Can you turn on the tv and watch a drift competition any day of the week? NOPEANGRY DUCKY SAYS:Please sell your 240 to someone who needs a shell and don't ruin it with your newbness.

Wow thos thread is full of Fail and newberts.

O.P. You have alot of work ahead of you. Save all the money you can. If you wanna work on your car, start taking it apart. You seem like the kinda kid who knows what he wants in a car. If I were you I would buy a Honda as a dd and use the 240 as your learning/project car. I really dont care how old you are. I was 8 when I realized I wanted a s13. Just dont get ahead of yourself. You need a job to pay for the project and you NEED your license. Dont listen to these guys who are bashing you. Dont listen to az89 either...hes lolGood luck with your build and always search first if you have any questions.

Oook

Whats the bet on when this kid crashes his car? I'm going to say a month or two after he gets the car finally up and running to his standards.. Lol

Your only 14, you don't have any driving experience to be handling a car with the modifications that you want.

Dude you don't realize how good something is intill you loose it or something happens to it.

My first car was a 04 Mazda Rx8.. Biggest mistake ever, i love cars, i love going fast at the appropriate times, i crashed that car... 10grand in damages. Why? Because i was being a dumbass, i dominated a guy on the highway, didn't slow down fast enough to come off the exit, slid out, smashed and grinded a guard rail for 20 feet

Ever since i bought my 240sx, have i beaten the piss out of it? No, ive treasured every moment of that car, just driving the speed limit and listing to the exhaust made me gizz a lil.

We have all seen fast and the furious, yeah its f***ing cool, yeah it would be cool to have some of the cars they do, But f***ing snap out of it dude. The real world isnt like that im sorry lol... In the real world, you go to a street race night, you race someone, you win, they loose, Nobody likes to loose, if its the wrong person, you can most likely get shot, stabbed, beat up, car stolen, ect.

Ok cool, your 14, hopefully you know a lot about cars, that's cool, i wont doubt that alright, But what im trying to say is, You don't have the experience to drive a car that's going to push a s***load of horse power and torque for your first car. YOu don't want that, and you probably wont realize that intill you get f***ed up in the process.

Drift on the street in real life, odds are you will f*** up, and you will hit somebody walking on the street, or smash your car into something or wrap it around a tree, Keep all your fast and the furious s*** to the track Only. Go to a drag strip to get the adrenaline rush out of you so you dont do it on the street.

Dont make a "track drift car" for your first car, ladies wont like it, you wont either, cop will pull you over, ask you if the car is legal, guarantee it wont be if your making it a track car.

Just for the love of f***ing god, make it a Daily driver car with a nice exhaust system. Drive it for a couple years, than possibly add a turbo, than after a couple more years, add a new engine. Than so on and so forth.

In the entire US driving recklessly, racing, drifting, and just about any other thing that's obviously dangerous can give you a very hefty charge. It's called... ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON. Try getting a job after that one. $hit, try even getting a license!

The kid has his dreams and I appreciate that just like my cousin who is 14 as well is wanting a 240sx. There's nothing wrong with having a this car as your first car. It was also my dream car from the beginning but I do think you are a little young for a FR platform. I didn't get mine until I was 21.

I've spent over $5,000 on the car and I have yet to even touch the engine. The is not a comfortable ride by any means should you decide to mod the suspension. It was until I put the Stance Coilovers into it and pillow ball tension rods. Now I can feel every little bump on the road.

I have no reason to judge you on ur opinion on this car. I don't know your background on how much knowledge of cars that you have so whos to say that you really cant drive? There are young racers out there about 10 years old who drive go karts and are funded by their parents. Who knows. Do what you want.

Just listen to the people on here. Ask the questions you really cant find an answer to and please DO NOT give them attitude otherwise getting flamed is all you'll find on here.

Good Day.

op: a daily track car is no fun. at all. end of story. granted the first week or so its pretty cool to feel how stiff your ride is but then you realize that it sucks.-you spill shi!-your cd player skips-your girl friend refuses to ride in your car so you end up taking her honda everywhere( not bashin that part but just stating)-cops pull you over more often to see what your doing.

but hey at least its a track car right and you can tell all your little friends that it is.

not tryin to bash but case and point: get it running first then move on to mods.

I'm 15 and don't have my 240sx yet, but don't come here, ask questions than try to insult a person who tried helping you. Some of these guys are making fun of you for a reason. Your 14, get your car running, get it in perfect coniditon, make sure its ready to be modded, check the rust, alignment, and any other forseen problems, especially since you have no money source. I would clean the car up, go back inside and spend the next couple of weeks looking for general infomation. Do you even know how to drive yet? Also, drifting with no money source, Granpy is gonna get sick of buying all those tires and brakes.

EDIT: PICS!
problem solved, go get a honda nowhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJ6mGSMVwMQ
