240sx and the F&F dizzam

i was watching the fast and furious the other night to try to fall asleep (that's right fall asleep) and i hadn't seen it since i got my 240 a year ago.

There are a LOT of 240's in the movie! first off the chick drives one and spanks that black dude (forget the car he was drives) Then there was another rolling up to the line with an nsx in the background at race wars. and i thought i saw a few more.

By the way they were all 98-98 Kouki and the girl's looked like it had a bomex front bumper. Interesting huh?

In real life Letty's car is a '95 with a kouki front end. And yes, it is owned by a girl and yes, it is fast.

yea that's pretty gay. Be sure to look at the asian extra in the background when teretto says "it doesn't matter if you win by a mile or an inch winning is winning" he's hella funny looking. So how do you know that the 240 was a 95 with the kouki was it in a magazine or something?? it also had the kouki tail lights by the way

It is an F'n movie man, if it resembled real life what would be the point in making it? Or any other movies for that matter? You guys all complain about "ricers" now I am gonna complain about "haters". I mean I may be new and I am sure when my car is done some of the changes I make will be considered ricey but people, chill out. I don't know why you guys all target one single set of movies(F&F and 2F2F), it wasn't supposed to be real. It stuff like this that makes a lot of ppl leave this forum. I have been fortunate enough to find some of the nicer people on the board. Just give it a rest guys.

i know it was just a movie, but i think the second one was totally stupid, thats my opinion, it's not just the fact that it was inacurate factually, but a skyline jumping over a supra of a bridge while street racing. thats just unrealistic, and that last boat scene.just my opinion

yeah but that General Lee charger kicks A$$ none of those guys could even handle a car like that... and i thought the first one was lame, but watchable on MUTE. the 2nd one was the reason stupid people do the stupid things they do... makes no sense

Yeah exactly but it the case of say....the terminator..it is perfectly okay for a human looking robot to come from the future and land somewhere buck *** naked or it possible for one man named Rambo to annihilate an army in the jungle singlehandedly....People are haters because they are into the "scene". Sure it was unrealistic. People secretly enjoy it, but jump on the F&F hating bandwagon on the internet because it is cool. :rolleyes. I thought they were both decent movies from a entertainment perspective and that is what they were meant to be....entertainment,...not a documentary on a day in the life of a street racer

Altiman95-- I agree, for one thing the racing wasn't always a straight line in the second one.

K240- Thats a very good point, in SportCompactCar they had an article on a recreation of the General Lee's first jump and the car was demolished by it, just as it was predicted. However, even on the 2F2F DVD it states that the Skyline only needed new tires after jumping that bridge and was drive away.

Spec-V --Exactly what I was thinking, I even read an interview w/the director of 2f2f and in it he stated that it was surrealistic
