my take, ignoring all technicality, is that you win b/c you have an SR powered Nissan, and he has a stock honda. you are simply cooler. =)

As for the neon, go check their from the factory stats, what are they like 130hP? Super Street did an article on a bunch of neons, guy had over 5k in motor work(forged internals, cams, gears, +boltons) he hadn't even cracked 200hp. Add to that their weight, and the fact they are usDM posing in an IMPORT crowd, and again, you are cooler, and probably faster. =)

unless the neon is spraying alot, or has a turbo. Which neither of these were metioned in what was done to this car. He has no chance. neons are slow. Dont worry about it. If an sr loses to a mildly moded neon, then hell is freezing over. And like Cyberkreig said you will be cooler. At the end even if he wins, hell still have to drive home in a neon. So he will be the real loser.

go check out our two honda's...the crx, and the race civic hatch on http://www.b20vtec.com ....the civic runs pro all motor class, minimum weight is 1800....mid 11's, and the crx with major build is at about the 12.0 mark....look at what it takes to make a competitive honda run fast times, compared to bolting on a big28, intake, and exhaust on an SR which would yeild similar times....

Okay, it's a CRX, it cannot have the regular B16 motor. It has to use the ZC motor, because it uses Cable transmission, not hydro...but anyways, it still has 160 HP. About Honda doesn't have tq...I know you're talking about stock cars, but think of it this way, how much does a honda weight? A CRX with a b16 only run around 15.0 because my first run with my b16 in my old civic 97 coupe (taht's 2700+ LBS) with only intake and exhaust ran 15.75 (double clutched twice) otherwise, i ran around 16.00 all day. CRX is very light, but it doesn't have the aerodynamic. If you car is tune correctly, it should be a good race. But you got my vote. Goodluck

this can pretty easily be swapped, in most cases you would want to swap to a hydro trans.

crx is about 1900+ pounds. with a b16a1 it is around 2015 pounds. this race will be all up to the driver. good luck though and watch out for cops.

Dam 1bad, next you will tell me Q silvia can tailgate an FD, or a levin 20 valve can walk by a f*****-yellow silvia, or an auto GTS-T can drag a boosted Miata down Mizugama like a pouty kid. Driver has a lot to do with it, ne?

Well, Madscientist, you are one of those special cases of the guy who can work some science or magic and make any car perform beyond its ability.

I'd like to see how fast my car would be with you driving it! (just kidding)

This was just a typical case of a Honda owner thinking that the JDM engine gives it enough power to hang with a car that severely out-classes it. (by 1-2 seconds in a drag race between two competent drivers)

Every race is of course up to the driver, but if I were driving the Nissan, I would whip the little Honda's a$$. Maybe thats because I know how to drive... I dunno. If TheMadScientist were behind the wheel of the Honda, I sure wouldn't be sleepin' though!

If the honda had the snorkelram and hood mounted spotlights he might have a chance!

Why would you double clutch? Wouldn't that be slower? I thought you only benifit when downshifting, and I can only get into 1st while rolling 10mph in my 98 240sx if I double clutch. Tell me a bit more about this, I never understood that fast and furious quote " Double clutching not granny shifting like you should or something" the movie was full of bs most the time. I'm impressed the 2.0L jetta held up with a nos s2000. 2.0L jettas get from 0-60 in what 9.8 seconds?
