240 in the Fast and the Furious 2? (Pic included)

I think the main reason most of you guys didnt like F and F and wont like Fand F 2, is that you go in expecting an action movie, when in fact you should expect a comedy. I think its absolutely hilarious. All the stupid s*** they say has me rolling on the floor.

yes, thats an S14, chris may met the guy with that S13, that wing is absolutely gaudy, as is most of the car "show no go" style.....chris may's 438hp S14 was in it as an extra, but they turned his boost down a LOT for shooting(cant have any REALLY fast cars in the movie now can we...)

also, fred FYI: I think a nice body kit thats well researched(if you've taken engineering you can see those that are) and well dont are functional and nice, but only if the car can reach speeds where the factory downforce or air inlets werent sufficient for the car...otherwise its rice.-chet

The F&F, just like all movies and business', was made for a purpose, to make money. And to achieve this they made the "perfect" movie, a comedy for people who know cars, and a short escape from reality for the rest, seems like they covered all people, not just targeting certain audiences. I think they did this for a purpose, ingenius IMO. Can't argue with that...

Wow. you people are pretty "elete" maybe you should make a movie the way it's supposed to be done and see how many tickets you sell. cuz that's what it comes down to; a$$es in seats. They don't care about rice or even accuracy. they just need to make a movie with enough flashy colorful cars to catch the general public's attention in a 30 second ad. This movie will prolly do almost as good as the first. I laughed at the first one, but the cars looked good under their decals which were added for the movie. I don't care about this second one that much but I might just go see an afternoon show just for fun. Hating on a car because it is in the movie is kinda stupid. Most of them are show cars spotted by scouts to be extras in the movie, thus you have a car with a body kit, nice paintjob, but no real engine mods besides some bolt ons. And if they ad a BOV noise to a car that doesn't have turbo, big deal. that's what they do for everything else in movies. I'm sorry but a punch doesn't actually sound like a slab of meat hitting a wet block of ice, but they ad that sound in cuz it sounds better. I'm ranting, I know, but I'm so sick of people being so quick to rip on someone or their car for petty stupid reasons.

I liked the 1 and want to see 2, even tho it had its flaws how many movies do you see with 4 cylinders or imports for that matter. This movie is what got me and my friends into cars and none of us like body kits or stickers. It raised street racing 75% so it did something. The previews have been on now and they seem to drive the skyline quite a bit.

the only reason I think this movie has a chance now is because they got rid of the orignial Director Bob Cohen, the same no talent a$$-clown who directed XXX w/ vin diesel.

I agree w/ some of the other posts on here that say if you look for all the mess-ups in the movie you wont enjoy it

yes, the entire point of the movie was to make money, but at the cost of inluencing every retarded teenager to take their ride throw a fart can, a huge shopping cart wing, and corbra glowing eyes and race at every stoplight.

My previous car was a show winning dodge neon, which can be seen at http://www.envuscc.com, i knew that car wouldnt be that fast, but it was all i could afford at the time, with all the money i put into it to make it a nice quallity ride, you didnt see any of the ricer trends touch it. Yes i had a body kit put on it, but I waited 6 months so I could have the rest of the body work done to match the kit. I didnt drive around with a primered kit. those are the morons that give euros, sport compacts whatever you may call it, the RICER look.

I always was taunted by guys with the 5.0 stangs and iroc z camaros, why did i buy a neon and do everything to it? I wanted a car no one around my area had. Something about being unique and thinking outside the box.

sorry about the rant, i just blame apc, the original movie, and a shop a few towns away called RUSHHOUR far the swarms or pos cars with altezzas, wings, and fartcans....

F & F 1 is what inspired me to buy my 240. My initial plans were to put a body kit and rims on it, but now I'm searching for perfomance parts. I doubt the car will ever see a SR20DET or RB series engine, but I bet I will squeeze every last bit of horsepower I can out of that KA. Looks and sound are big things where I am from, if it looks good, sounds good, and rolls, people love it. If you tell someone its fast, they think your BSn them. Thats where my supercharged 351 Cobra comes in...it does everything you want it to do and more (msybe i should have searched for some F & F scouts in that car) Anyway...that movie did inspire me to buy my car, though I knew that those cars weren't 10 second cars like they claimed...especially the Jetta...weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
