My 1991 240sx has reached 240,000 miles! I've had the car since 1991 and I love it! Original engine. Still runs great! No, I'm not selling it. This is still my daily driver. Only mods are HP exhaust and Brembo brakes (brakes squeel like hell by the way). Maybe not the fastest hunk o' junk on the road today, but it's my baby.

OK, I'm gonna look like a major geek, but I'm posting a pic of my odometer reaching 240,000 miles. I'm including a pic of my beloved ride too.

Great Job. Not many people can say their car has 240K miles on the original engine. Try doing that with an american made car. Go imports!!!

Just another 55k and I'll be there too, and with a MUCH younger car lol.

Congrats on all the miles. Hopefully mine will last that long as well.

89 240 with 228k miles. Nicely done, I'd say for the breaks, other than bad pads or rotors usually when mine squeaks its the pins on the brake calipers. At least on mine which is non-abs, the screws which secure the calipers to the wheel go into these pins which have rubber boots on them. The pins come out and per service manual should be greased every time they're removed. Not sure with your break upgrade or with ABS if this applies. Sorry to be vague but greasing these pins alleviates my squeaking.

Awesome. I bet my ka24de will make it that far- it's been babied its whole life and will continue to be...but it's still got another 100k to go!If you still have good pads and you can slow down fine, I wouldn't worry about the squeal. Slight imperfections in original factory specs for a brake system can cause squeal, anything from rotor rust to some weird pollen particles settling on the brakes, or even non-OEM pads or rotors (like brembo for example)

That does make for a really cool picture. Just imagine how many other 240 guys are gonna end up googling 240, finding that picture and try to be cool by jacking it and tossing it in their sig on zilvia or ka-t.org.

On the brake squeel though, try taking the pads out and putting anti-seize on the pad backing on both pads. If either pad ( or both ) have shims, put anti-seize between those and on the backs of them. Take care not to get any on the pad face of course. We use that stuff on every brake job we do at my dealership and haven't had a complaint yet about squeels.

What a number!

Took you a while to finally break that baby in

If you've kept up your maintenance then I am sure the car runs great!

now aim for 250,000 and then 300k!

I fixed my brake squeek. It was that pads. Now I'm dealing with some rust on the frame. By the way, I'm up to 260,000 miles now.
