Hello! I have had my 2018 Nissan Armada Platinum AWD for about 18 months now, and I just hit 18,000 miles.
I use the Fuelly App to track my fill-ups, and from new, I have averaged only about 9 mpg city driving. I have gone on 2 road trips with it, and got 16 mpg on those.
I have taken it to 3 different dealerships, and all said "If the check engine light is not on, then there is not anything wrong." One of them did some type of firmware update, but that did nothing.
This car replaced my 2004 Infiniti QX56, which I had for 14 years and put 150,000 miles on, and I averaged 12 mpg city driving in it.
Has anyone else seen anything like this?
Please Help!!!

My guess would be the poor average economy has more to do with driving habits then it does the vehicle. Especially if it got 16mpg on a road trip.

Does your commute see lots of stop and go, or is it a very short distance that doesn't allow the engine to reach operating temperature?

Hmm, my normal commute is about 15 minutes or stop and go on bumpy streets, not really exceeding 30 mph, and going up and down the parking garage. With my QX56 I only got 12mpg, but now this armada is only getting 9mpg.

Hard to say. Your commute is basically worst case scenario for fuel economy.

It's possible a difference in optional equipment is to blame for delta between QX and Armada. Like larger, more off-road oriented, tires or a shorter final drive ratio.

9mpg is pretty damn low, even for a pig like the Armada.

Check all the common things: Air filters, tire pressure, extra weight in the interior... Amrada / QX56 aren't known for good mpg, but that seems miserable.
