Exterior
- New front grille and headlights (looks more like the Murano)
Projector high beam lens
Smaller LED running lamps (less of a checkmark and closer to other late-model Nissans)
Rectangular fog light housing (not sure if it's LED)
Weird plastic cover over the Nissan logo
LED tail lamps with a swoopier design (other rear bulbs are still incandescent)
Smoked tail lights?
Much larger rear reflectors
More chrome trim all around
New wheel rim options (similar to Rav4)
3 new colors (Palatial Ruby, Caspian Blue, Monarch Orange)
Motion-activated liftgate
Shark-fin antenna
- New D-shaped steering wheel and controls
Heated steering wheel
New shift column
Resigned center arm rest/storage box
Memory seats and mirrors
Platinum Reserve interior package (more leather everywhere)
- Lane departure warning and lane keeping assistance
Adaptive cruise control
Rear cross-traffic warning
Pedestrian collision detection
Remote engine start (SV/SL)
Automatic high beams
They've also introduced a new hybrid model that will boost up city fuel mileage at the slight cost of some overall cargo space. Goes directly against the Rav4 hybrid, which I haven't really seen on the streets so far.
Hybrid Model
- 176 hp combined HP
Auto start/stop and regenerative braking
31/34 MPG (City/Highway - AWD)
Comes in SV and SL trims
Loss of 1.1 cu ft of overall cargo space behind rear seats
No divide-n-hide
No spare tire or subwoofer
Pure Drive Hybrid badging on tailgate and on front driver/passenger doors
All in all, a decent set of changes that will give some new life to the Rogue, keep on pace with their competitors, and probably help Nissan smash future sales records. I can't see the hybrid model getting too much of the sales pie but it's nice to have another option besides the Rav4 hybrid.
