Here's one of the threads on the topic, search is your friend

On the image below it's the big round port halfway down the block on the leftmost cylinder.

There's no hole there. I had a camera there looking in there and there's nothing there. What I was told was there is a port at the front of engine by the timing cover, someplace I have not checked yet.

I tried tracing the block heater cable on mine but it disappears somewhere under the exhaust heat shield. I'd like to look further but it's too cold for me at the moment though :frown:

Well when it's warmer, let me know please, if you don't mind.

Not an open hole, no. You have to unscrew the protective cover that keeps the crud out.

I have to concur with ksbs -- I checked again quickly (-29C here so still too cold to linger) and found mine doesn't seem to have the hole there either.Image

This is where mine is on 2011 Rogue. Can't see it with the exhaust manifold in place. Behind the water pump area I believe.

Well i have finally found out the answer and there is no hole or plug were the block heater would go thats forvolder models. The newer models u have to put in a bolt in onto block defa block heater so i will be going to nissan tomorrow to get that defa block heater it comes in 2 parts one is the heater and the other part is the cord. Which comes too around 200 parts. I will let u know when i get it and install it .

I guess that make sense. When I was searching QR25DE blocks the Jecs site shows one for 2012-2018 and the pics show no block heater plug.
look at the second picture here:

Nice find! I did a quick comparison of that and the other engine https://www.jegs.com/i/ATK-Engines/059/347/10002/-1 (note the 347 as opposed to 347H above). I found that the block heater port seems to be on the intake side on cylinder 4. I've yet to confirm on my car (with the weather and all), but it's probably the case. I guess H means it's the 8th revision of this engine?
