Um, you could start an entire build thread here.

The difference is that this will be here forever - a FB post will eventually go away.

Welcome aboard - Let us know if you need a hand with it!
Sorry to hijack the post. AZhitman could you email or PM me about that. I started to make a log but then was asked to make each mod into its own post. Maybe I misunderstood what he was trying to tell me.

I'd have to see the post - I'm not sure what that person meant.

There's nothing wrong with starting a new thread, like "My 2013 Rogue Select Modifications," and updating it as you go along. It's a great way to interact with other members, and it's a good way for you guys to learn from each other and see what works / what doesn't.

Hope that makes sense. :)

what i stated was: "nico and its members would really appreciate it more if you put each mod into its respective thread. if you want to run your own thread, that's fine, but then simply copy & paste into an already existing thread, or make a new one."

meaning if you want to run your own build thread, thats fine. just dont forget to add the content to an already existing thread as well (or if there isnt one open yet, make one).
example: if you did your front brake pads, why not add that to an already open brake pad diy thread? or into a brake pad thread? future members looking to find information on brake pads will go directly to the thread titled: "brake pads" and will skip over your valuable info. no one looking for brake pad info will think to look into a thread titled: "2014 Rogue Select SPL Build"

I'm thinking we can pull some stuff out into articles... everybody loves a build thread. :)

We'll make it work, regardless. What's most important is having a place where you guys can share info and learn from each other - the Rogue community is really impressing me with how gung-ho you guys are! :)

I've never been more disappointed at the lack of a low-clearance tunnel.

Hey alll. . Well this is what i get for attempting changing my rims... I bought rims for me 2014 select and it all went wrong. .. Upon putting in the front rims the center cap popped right off.. That piece was longer in the front then the rear, the rear had no problems at all..... The rims went on but the center cap would pop right off..it would not go on and the last thing I want to do is add a spacer.... I went with niche rims 18x8 5x4.5/114.3 40mm. . I kept at right at 40mm but it went wrong for me... any idea why that happened?

Let's think for a minute here.

If the cap "popped right off," something pushed it from the rear. Look and see why. That will lead you to a logical answer to your question.

How much is it off? 2mm? 10mm? 3 feet? ;) If it's not much, then a small spacer solves the problem.

If the seller advertised those wheels as fitting a Rogue, you need to discuss this with them.

Hey AZ... ok.. as for what pushed the cap off I don't know what it's called but in this link i found shows who knows what kind of a car without a tire and that center piece is the culprit..
http://www.featurepics.com/online/Car-P ... 47674.aspx

It was off about 5 to 7mm... and yes sir it was advertised for my rogue. ....
http://www.elementwheels.com/proddetail ... 2Dm1461880

I called them and explained to them I don't want to use a spacer because I was told these will fit with no problems. . They emailed my 4 prepaid fedex labels so I could send them back but I'm still wondering what if this happens again... This time I'm going with actual oem nissan rims... As Yoda would put it "Worried I am :ohno: "

Why not tell them you'll keep the wheels if they'll send you 4 10mm spacers?

EDIT: That's called the spindle.

Well I was never crazy about spacers plus when the fool said these rims well for like a glove I'm expecting just that...

but the questions that still burn me are why did that happen and will it happen again..

Yep. Time to speak to the owner of the company.

If they'll throw in a set of spacers, it's not a bad deal - and they save the return shipping costs.

If they're stupid enough to argue about it, then send them back. The issue is the BACKPAD (the thickness of the part of the wheel that mates with the hub).

Wanna laugh??? they actually said they would give me 20 percent off two spacers because the rear was fine, lol. Are you kidding me. I Told them take the rims back. ... so come tomorrow their prepaid FedEx label goes on em & they go back to the company.

okay now this is where I get a little lost, so that piece coming out Is called a hub? if I sTick to OEM 18 inch Nissan Rogue rims will that happen again? What I can be Certain is I'm done with aftermarket.

also I want to thank you very much for your help.

The part sticking out of the center is the spindle.

The flat round part with the lug studs sticking through it is the hub.

They're local to me - I'm surprised they were stupid about it.

I'd still get aftermarket wheels, but find out if you can get a set with a "high backpad" OR just go with a 10mm hubcentric spacer on all 4 corners. They're cheap. Those wheels would look great on a Rogue.

Tell everyone you know about us. The best thanks is word-of-mouth and sharing links to NICOclub wherever you go online. :)

I just printed this up.. thank you for this.. I even Googled "high back pad rim" so now I at least have some understanding of my rogue...

When I was told that it kinda upset me, I guess I wouldn't of mind going with the spacers but this situation is on them not me.. they could of done the right thing.... it is a shame though because it looked great mounted but as the saying goes "back to the drawing board"

I always tell people who have all types of nissan's about this website, in fact I could never forget it cause "Nico" is my last name :bigthumb:

Hey there. . One more question for Rogue owners that upgraded to 18" rims, does it matter if I use 18x7.5 or 18x8 rims?
