Anyone seen the recent pics of the new 2011 scion tC?? i saw an ad for it by my local highway and seemed like it was gunna be a hot car...

after browsing through some full shot pics...now, i might have to retract my initial feelings.

pros..
1 edit: it comes as a 6-speed MT (not V6 as i stated previously)
2 wheels are a good update

cons...
1 looks too hatchback-ish
2 still lags around that rear antenna
3 rear lights...ehhh
4 hood is still booooring
5 grill is decent, but ehhh
6 again looks too boxy

as a former would-be scion buyer, i am disappointed.

The front is very nice. Everything after the A-pillar is strange looking.

Looks like they had a machine mis-function and not cut out the back doors.

I'd buy one if it looked more like the Fuse.

Looks a bit more grown up. But most grown up are boring so u guess it fits. Hopefully they keep them rwd so we can still drift them.

The Forte looks 100000000x better. It's a great looking car for the class/price.

I agree the front end of that Scion looks great, but past the doors, it looks like it's has a birth defect a.k.a. Chrysler Sebring syndrome.

i stand corrected...i meant 6-speed, as opposed to their previous generation's 5-speed.

other features include:
2.5L 180 hp
premiered at NY auto show...anyone see it there? i couldnt go this year
18" wheels...interesting
optional led driving lights
optional all weather mats

are you implying my taste in my car selection is subpar? or that a tC is of equal caliber to that of an altima? hey, its my money i spent, not yours...

Don't worry about it. The Altima Coupe gets a lot of crap in gen chat. Just bedazzle it and play along!

It doesn't help that it has THE cheapest interior I've ever been in. Brand new car and it rattled like a b****.

you're spoiled by Mazda.

The new Toyotas suck a** too.....my friend's Camry has s*** falling apart that shouldn't be on a 2005 car.

The only things that have fallen off my Civic were a result of something hitting it.

so i've noticed. In lieu of a more verbose manuscript, i'll be happy to play along.

Sarcasm? The first one was decidedly FWD. And way overweight.

Most of the tC's I've seen on the road have had overweight female drivers. I think this will sell to them.

If they had spent as much money into squeezing a V6 in there as they did into redesigning the exterior, I'd be tempted.

Yeah, her saying the word "gesundheit", could be painful ...

As far as the new Scions tyling: eh. okay. Not repulsive, not bad. Then again, who's expecting Pininfarina styling on an $17K econobox?
