2010 EX35 iPhone fix

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I had the update done on my car and I have the latest software on an iPhone 4 and 3GS and I'm getting audio drops every 30-60 seconds for about 1/4 of a second. This is via the USB cable, not bluetooth. Anyone else?

I will add, however, that it does seem more stable when it comes to actually linking up with the phones each time I start the car or change modes. I was having issues with them, before the Infiniti update, where I would get the "check USB memory" message.

I am having the same issue w/ the iPod touch connected to the stereo system via usb cable. After random # of seconds, it'll say 'check USB memory' or something like that. It's annoying. anyone had similiar issue but was fixed later at the dealership? What exactly was done (because I called Infiniti consumer hotline) and they said there's no campaign / software update' available. I'm totally lost.

I'm still confused. I have not been able to hook my iphone to the car via the USB port for some time. If I take it to the dealer what update should I ask for. The CDDB update? A Nav update?

I have a nine hour drive ahead of me and I'd like to have it fixed for that.

Did you call and speak with an actual person about your issue?
I would suggest verifying the people you are taking a journey know exactly what you want them to do prior to even planning to leave.

There should be an AV software update for the OS of your radio. Depending on what year you have the update would be performed differently.

What are you trying to do with your iphone?

Thanks for replying. I should have been more descriptive. I have 2010 premium with Nav. I want to use my iphone as an ipod to play music via the USB port. In addition recently the bluetooth stopped working as well. Though I'm less concerned about that. When the issue first arose, my wife brought it in, and they told her there were no updates for the EX.

I would start with the updating the phone first. If it worked for a while than stopped that might be a software issue with the phone.
Also if it does not work when plugged directly in, try another cord.

I had a co worker who was getting his rear kicked by an ipod issue similar to that.....three days later we try another cable and viola...just like magic.
Not saying that is the golden ticket but just something to look at.

Changed from one Apple suppled cable to another Apple cable and it worked! Go figure
