The September Car & Driver had a little blurb next to an article about the Nismo 370 Z...said the Alti sedan, coupe, and hybrid would be getting a new hood, front bumper and grille. Has anyone seen pics yet?

wow, talk about being vague. Ever other car in Nissan's lineup has a in-depth description of what's being added except the Altima Sedan & Coupe. What a tease! I guess we're going to have to wait another 1-3 months to find out.

Oh, it also said that the 3.5 SE would become the 3.5SR. And all 2.5s will get a free VQ upgrade. j/k

Catching up on Car and Driver issues,

New Hood, New Front Bumper and New Grill, are the most noticeable traits, Stability Control is standard across the board and the 3.5 SE becomes 3.5 SR

Ok...lets think about this logically.

I am going to assume those that say they want RWD are just kidding...right?

Hood/Bumper/Grille are COMPLETELY understandable. However I don't expect there to be HUGE changes. I think they will look similar, but I think they are going to sport up the bottom part of the grille. The hood...maybe a new detail if the grille changes a ton, other then that...not to much.

With the costs to re-tool machines, I certainly believe anything on the 2010 will fit an 08/09; so I hope the front grille is awesome, because it will give us another "kit"! haha

TailLights/headlights...no changes...I really can't see them altering anything there...again, costs to much to only get 2 years out of a machine.

Sidemarkers/Fogs...no. Thoses will NOT be on the 2.5...because that is how they get more people to hop up to the 3.5 and make more money!

But I could see the sport package. Nismo has their kit for the sedan, I can see places putting that on them, and I can see them releasing the full Coupe kit on a 2010.

Again that's a quote from Car and Driver Magazine, This is the 3rd year so a cosmetic 'refresh' is liekly, may see a new color. I don;t know why they are changing SE to SR but I guess you can take the E off your 2008 and put a R on...lol

With new hood and bumper, it's likely the grille will not retrofit. Probably have to buy all three.

look some place in Jersey has 'em listed allredy, talk about not procrastinating on the web site

2dr Coupe 2.5 S (CVT) (STD is Estimated)

Each car says that for 2010...what does that mean?

There is still a 2.5 and a 2.5S for the Sedan...what Standard did they get rid of?

Read most of the article, and unfortuneatly it doesn't shed light on much. It basically reiterates a bunch of stuff we already know... The most important thing we need is a picture of the new styling!

Well from the link that LinkNuc posted it looks like there will be 2 or 3 new exterior colors and a new Red interior color option. I hope it's Red leather .

Crimson Black sounds like maybe a "black cherry" that'd be awesome. If navy blue is like Majestic Blue it'll also be awesome

From the color swabs on the website...it almost looks like a Super Dark Charcoal...maybe it is one of those two tones...where it is black in some light and a super dark red in other light....

And they got rid of Performance Grey and added Ocean Grey...

they are giving one away to the Grandmas there...

Honestly the only thing I could get excited about with the revision is the addition of the CVT found in the Maxima (with the sport mode settings) and maybe an LSD or a boost in HP (which probably won't happen.)

Interior wise, if we see a new center stack with an available iPod interface similar to that of the Maxima/G lineup then I'd consider trading mine if that was included along with some drivetrain changes mentioned above. Other than that, I don't think there will be much to get excited about here.

I was very surprised to find out that the Sentras are getting Navigation w/ iPod interface updates. Sounds like a Spec V will be packed with some pretty neat stuff for just above $20k.

The only hangup I have with that it that it would involve a completely new designed front quarter panel...and I would LOVE the new Maxima's front end...but to put it onto an 08/09 would involve a lot of new parts (and more importantly a lot of painting of parts!)

Which would suck for us and the factories.

Hey everyone.. look what I managed to get from a Nissan dealer this weekend. A feature list for the 2010 Altima Coupe!!! This is for Canada but don't think the US should differ too much. Everything listed in bold is supposed to be a change compared to the '09 model.

I guess the big upgrades for the 2.5 S are Traction Control, 17" alloy wheels, and in premium package there is now 4.3" colour display, ipod, and USB all added to the bose sound system. The guy told me prices might increase by 2%. Do you think these new features plus the redesign are compelling enough that I should wait and get the 2010 model? or shall I take advantage of the clearance deals on the '09 model? I don't wanna wait too long and lose opportunity on the '09s. what would you guys do? I was thinking of leasing.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Nice find!

In your situation, I can't imagine lease deals would be all that much different - the real deal will come with an actual purchase. I got a killer deal on my leftover 08 back in January 09... even though the one I really wanted was an identically equipped 09 model, I got the 08 model for around 5K less.

Most of this really depends on which trim you're looking at and your opinion on what the redesign looks like. The new front and rear fascia could either be gorgeous or completely butt ugly.

And trust me on this - the incentives won't go away for the 09s. The longer you wait, the cheaper they'll get, because the dealers don't want them hanging around the lots while they're trying to bring in the 10s. So don't let your excitement over buying a new car rush you, because if you jump into it over some false sense of urgency, the beast known as buyer's remorse will rear its ugly head, and that sucks.

Good luck man! It's a wonderful car nonetheless.
