Hi there,

greetings from the sxce (200sx-forum.com)...

I thought I should give you the link to the most extreme setup I´ve seen... :-) it should be the most powerful sx in the german speaking countries with a SR20DET engine and 500+ HP.

http://200sx-forum.com/forum/t...er=22

If you got questions maybe I can help you translate from german to english

They make it nearly imposable to get a car over here from Germany. Why is that? Im still trying to figure out shipping costs but it seens it would be more expensive preping the car to get it over here. This is stupid to me does anybody know a company that ships these cars oer here for sale? Would be awsome

I have been quoted 1000 dollars to have a car shipped. Again like you said it will be expensive because it has to be converted. I would do as the link I gave you said and see if you can find an authorized person to do the conversion and ask him what needs to be done. You might find that on the S13 body not much would have to be done.. Of course once again if you know what needs to be done and can source the parts yourself then maybe you can save some money that way.

Here are some updated pics from a guys awesome work here. Water cooled intercooler on this one. He also writes that his pulleys are 75% lighter than stock. Water pump pulley (I think) is 71 grams. Pretty nice stuff. Just thought I would share.

Wow, thats a really nice ca18 someone has built. Keep this thread posted with updates of how that thing comes along.

1/4 way down this thread, there is a ca18 under someones hood... with the black hot and cold pipes. The coil packs are sticking up from between the valve covers......what type of coilpacks are these?

hell they are left hand drive, i would just throw you old USDM dash board in and not worry, if you didnt have a 240sx already buy a shell and use the title from it

but whats the point in getting a german 200 when you can just swap a US chassis over?

They look like splitfire coilpacks, prob for an SR. They're much easier to get ahold of than the CA ones. It is also possible that person switched to an SR ECU and loom. I've seen it done on one other members car. It opens up a lot more room for tuning and such.

My question exactly. The only real difference between a EDM and JDM S13 w/a CA is the head. There is a slight difference in the ECU, but it's minor and basically associated with the EDM CA's lack of butterfly's.

I think it is too expensive to try and get a 200sx back to the States. A guy here who has a 200sx said only the doors were needed but I don't know who he spoke too for this. Plus then you have to have the car painted if you can't get the same color doors, and whatever else needs to be done (shipping, conversion, parts cost, customs). I think the swap is the best way to go if you have to have CA power. I picked up my 1992 200sx with a very good body, clean interior, 140,000 kms on the dial and only a slight miss at idle for roughly $2000.

looking at those pulleys, they dont seem to have grooves for the belt cut in them yet. and that one below the alternator doesnt even look like its held on. still awesome though. that intake manifold and ITB setup is hotter than the fire of a thousand suns. if i was awesome enough i might try to make a set, but alas i am not.
