Is that true they cannot pull service information from other infiniti dealership, are the systems not linked to get the data?
They checked for recalls and there is one for the accelerator pedal, which is what carfax showed too.
Thanks.
That is my approach too for the 7.5k mile checkups for the same reasons ... I buy my Mobil1 Synthetic 0W-40 from a local O-Reilly store for this and take it to the dealer.Larz wrote:If you haven't already done so, I recommend you take it to that dealer for an oil / filter change. My dealer doesn't stock Mobil 1 oil, so I bring my own and they charge me for the filter, the washer, and the service fee for about $30. The main reason I do that is because I feel they do a great job on the inspection of fluids, brakes, belt, etc. This way, you have a running report on what is needed and you can plan ahead for expensive items.
Infiniti service records are available at and dealer nation wide. I don't know why dealers try to pull stuff over on people, especially now with the Internet.retho78 wrote:I went to an Infiniti dealership near to my location and gave them the VIN# on the M35 I'm getting soon, they said they cannot pull service history information if it's not done at their location. Per the service receipt for the 2010 QX56, it shows they use Mobil 1 oil.Larz wrote:I guess you'll just have to do the best you can with the dealer near you. Hmmm ... I would have thought they could get the service information from any Infiniti dealership. Their service systems are all centrally managed on servers at Infiniti US HQ in Southern California, as far as I know.retho78 wrote:I went to an Infiniti dealership near to my location and gave them the VIN# on the M35 I'm getting soon, they said they cannot pull service history information if it's not done at their location. retho78 wrote:That is what I thought too. Also, I haven't got the car yet due unexpected delays with the bank and dealership. I'm hoping everything will clear out this week and have the car soon. Your dealer is either lazy or just likes to lie
Not true (hmmm ... well ... assuming this policy has not changed recently).retho78 wrote:I went to an Infiniti dealership near to my location and gave them the VIN# on the M35 I'm getting soon, they said they cannot pull service history information if it's not done at their location.
