I've done this on several M45s it's pretty straight forward but the parts are not too cheap new... however for some reason totaled G37s are showing up for scrap on the internet and full brake sets are going for ~$500 if you don't mind a few nicks and scratches but the quality is still there. A set of 350z track model stainless steel brake lines connects to the Akebonos perfectly (make sure they come with the banjo bolt and gaskets). I was actually amazed at the amount of brake fluid I needed when bleeding the massive calipers of small air reserves. Rotors are stainless lines are really cheap and even the pads can be had for a reasonable price for the 2008 models. The rear backing plate can modified with a saw easier than it can be replaced.

This can definitely be done for <$1000 if your lucky. However must say I am not 100% if the spindles are all the same on the 2009 G line but I will check.

Although the xS does use single piston sport brakes already these brakes are exponentially better than the old V35 brakes. I have seen some of the earlier models last in excess of 60k with more than 5mm remaining. The current line of OE brakes are better than they have been since they used asbestos. After years of trial and error they have found a few things that work well.

We finally had some snow and sub-freezing weather a couple weeks ago, right before the wife had scheduled a couple days "vacation" in a cabin. We chose the G35 since it has all-seasons on it and made the trek. Unfortunately there was a steep gravel drive up to the cabin that was snow and ice covered which caused severe problems. With VDC enabled I could get 1/2 way up the hill before the car bogged and traction control would not allow me to proceed further up the hill. I didn't try it without it as the sedan has a tendancy to kick out the passenger side rear (didn't feel like going into a ditch). Had to have a plow scrape down the gravel so I could get up there. Pretty much sucked. Would have been OK I believe with actual winter tires.....

Remember when you were a kid and could not wait to get back to that toy :ohno: That is the best discription i can think of :naughty: it is the best car I have ever had. I gave my wife the 2008 G35XS when her car came up, it was really hard  But then i got my G37XS a few little mods and this thing is crazy fast. new i made the right choice when I started leaving almost everything behind. :chuckle: I just have one questions are these Audi and BMW 3 drivers really that confused. just today had a 328 driver thinking he was going to race me :naughty: lets just say much later so much later his face was privceless  . Anyway they are simply increadable. :dblthumb:

One Sweet G37XS- congrats on your new Infiniti. Did you get the mid model update with a 2010 model? How does it compare with your '08 G35xS? Stop beatin' down those Beemer drivers.
