Yeah kinda sucks getting a car before a redesign . Oh well.

Looks like Infiniti is really gunning for BMW. Now they just need to make a car to compete with the 1 series....oh and a G50, that would be the SEKZ

A g37 sedan doesn't make any sense.

The only reason the coupe is a G37 is so it has a chance of keeping up with the sedan. Also 330 hp vs 306 hp whats the point and the additional 24 hp don't come on until after 5000 rpm?

The 2007 G35 Sedan is a new model from the 2006. I doubt it will be a complete redesign for at least 4 years probably more like 6.

There most likely will NOT be a G50, but I am sure there will be a M50.

Like they said earlier they already have a G37 sedan in Europe with the 7 speed automatic. All they did was slap in the 3.7 and the new transmission, other than that its the same as the 07 G. That's what I meant about the redesign, sorry for not being clear. Also, why not slap in the 3.7? It sure wont HURT anything, and Nissan has it laying around, might as well use it to make it one designation lineup again.

Plus it would just give us sedan owners more to brag about....you know STILL being faster than the coupe

My friend at the local Infiniti dealership said the G37 acceleration was lack luster. No oomph. Reminds me of the 325I and 525 that I test drove.

Other than the fuel economy, I don't see a reason for the new engine.

This is debatable. It only took them 3 years to go from the first to second gen sedan (with 3 engine variants in between). I doubt they'll wait until the 2010s to do another redesign.

The G37 and 2007+ G35 are a tie although I typically lap the G37 at the IOS track events.

I like the 306 hp 3.5 motor just fine so the 330 hp 3.7 will not be an added attraction for me. I'm more likely to buy a M50/FX50 then a G37.

I wonder what the weight difference between a G35 sedan and G37 sedan will be? Might end up with a slower more powerful car

If you need an "Official" to verify their PSed, I'll do it...

They're fake!!! Really bad fakes for that matter.

There was a japanese magazine that had pictures as well, but they can be artists renderings. Even if they're photo shopped though it gives you an idea about what it would look like when its announced (per what the OP says will happen).

Even if they slap in the 3.7, theyre not redsigning anything on the body so the extra weight would be just from the engine/transmission which I would assume to be negligable in this case. Any of the small amount of extra weight would be ofset by the extra power and 2 extra gears.

Ofcourse these are just my thoughts.

Add another $1,000 - $1500 [above 5AT] for a Nissan remanned. Soon transmissions will cost more than engines and need to be changed more often.Be careful what you wish for.

LOL did you just lurk and wait for someone to post the facts just to jump out with an I told you so? Man I'm imagining a dude in a ninja outfit jumping out of a closet.

Anywho, props on the info and +1 in putting up with our skepticism like SVT said.

I think the G37 is definitely going to destroy the G37 coupe, theres an article somewhere out that that was posted a while back stating that the G37 Sedan will be about 200lbs lighter then the coupe and same HP, but then again it hasn't been confirmed.

Any changes to the body of the car or is it practically going to be identical?

The all-wheel drive is still an option (thankfully), but I am glad that they are coming out with a hard-top vert. Infiniti needs to counter other luxo marks....which is why we need a 400+HP G!

yea its strange but at the same time, it makes them that much more appealing. Makes me second guess getting a coupe in the future if the sedans do end up turning out to be faster..

I'm a little worried about the "self-healing" paint they claim the new Gs will have. I'd like to wait a while and see how that stuff works out.

The EX owners are happy with it. I'd say it is good but what if.....

I always try to see all the sides. I am sure I won't jump on it right away. Maybe next year when we see how they holding up to everyhing.

Wait till you get older. All you going to be able to do is talking about it. Just look at RN or Telco.
