I say s2000 takes it unless the driver screws up or something

I believe it's you lose a tenth of a second for every 100 pounds.

What's the s2000's 0-60 time? How much torque does he have?

Also, are you racing off the line or from a roll?

i have raced one before with a test pipe and exhaust and it was a tie... we raced from a roll of course (40mph) to 120 and we were right next to each other the whole way but i started to pull a lil at 115 and then let off (for all the ppl against racing blah blah blah, we raced on a closed road by my house)

so if its from a roll then it will most likely be a tie until u get to 80ish once the cvt starts to slow you down

Well off the line definitely the S2000. First off it has the advantage in traction especially if the A/C still has it's factory tires. However since it's the CVT and not a MT, I would give the edge to the S2000. Maybe a 6 speed would have more luck against an S2000.

I raced one a while back from a 40ish roll. It was a pretty dead even tie until about 90ish I started pulling on him but it was barely anything maybe a hood and then we had to slow down. Roll races with S2K seem to be pretty dead even. Im guessing whoever gets the jump or better driver

i want to race an S2000 soooo bad! thats like the one car i've been dieing to race.... stock i did a 14.4 in the 1/4 mile and with my cat-back exhaust i was able to do a 14.2 and a S2000 is supposed to do a 14.2.... but we have more torque so i have a feeling it will be close...

PLUS the 3.5se CVT has tons of traction! only issues i have with traction is not being able to get wheel spin lol 100% stock, on stock tires, i got a 2.3 60ft. and a 14.4.... with no muffler on the car i got a 2.1 60ft. and a 13.912.... idk what happen to my 14.2 with exhaust time slip but stock a 2.3 60ft and with no muffler a 2.1 60ft. so its safe to assume a 2.2 60ft with exhaust....

i tried to search what the S2k gets and all i got were honda forums with ppl bragging about a 13.9 in the 1/4 mile with a 2.2 60ft. so long story short, a S2000 WONT kill a 3.5se CVT off the line... IF the s2k knows how to launch it really good, then it should be even off the line and even all the way up to like 100 MPH.

s2000 would be ahead by a bit. the 0-60 time for s2000 is 5.5 stock. and its true. depending on how they launch the s2000 andd how good the driver is. even if altima got more tq. s2000 is lighter and rwd. but basiccally what everyone is saying. s2000 and altima coupe is even on rolls and dig? i agree.

both cars nice. it all depends on the drivers.

ya it all depends on the driver. over here in Sacramento, the majority of people with stick shifts i come across are HORRIBLE drivers! i mean, i've seen mustangs that should do high 13's doing low 15's and high 14's good thing about automatic is that you got to be really stupid to screw it up lol pretty much just floor the gas.

but with my exhaust i can do a 14.2 and a stock S2k can do a 14.2 i've been dieing to race one for the past 6 months to a year lol

my bro has a 2007 S2000 (the one with the more powerfull engine) and I raced him at the drag strip. he was on stock potenzas and I was on winter tires. it was always the same thing, we were neck to neck till 60 then I always started to pull ahead of him until we ran out of runway. s2000 is pretty fast but at high speeds the hp advantages of the vq really shows.

in the twisties its a totally different story though haha

oh the ap2? yeah has more tq. hey nice altima man, 6speed manual :] 6 speed manual is faster then the auto cvt right? cause someone said cvt auto is faster then 6speed manual O_o cause auto cvt it keeps it at redline? but i honestly think manual is faster cause u can launch it. with wheelhops :] 1st through 2nd.

actually, i think off the line a CVT will get the jump on a manual because every 3.5se manual owner talks about how they just cant get any traction off the line... once they get that traction, they are definitely faster then CVT but not by a whole lot... a decent amount but it wouldnt kill a CVT... just slowly pull ahead of a CVT is my guess... the fastest STOCK 3.5se stick shift ive seen, was able to get a 14.2 in the 1/4 mile and STOCK i got a 14.4 so in the 1/4 mile it should finish about 1 car length ahead.

That would be the logical thing to do + confirm that S2000 would win
