Did anyone read the new SPEED, Road & Track, magazine yet. They have a picture of the "new" 2007 240SX. It looks....different. They also said it is a 50/50 chance Nissan will make it.

Please post if you can! On a side note, is SPEED the same sort of "youth-oriented, tuner lifestyle" spinoff like Car & Driver's ill-fated BOOST? What a laughing stock!
Anyway, I can already say that no matter how cool the car is, I wouldn't buy it because I'm just not interested in throttle-by-wire, computer controlled this and that and all the modern gimmicks associated with today's cars.
Let's hope BMW releases the M2 that they promised!!

YES! i drive a throttle-by-wire car right now and i HATE it..and i always disengage traction control lol
when i buy a car, it will have a throttle cable

I heard that the car is not in production yet, and its not going to be called a 240, Its going to be the JDM silvia perhaps may even carry a diff name, And even may loose the RWD layout, the car is not in production yet, nor is there a prototype. However even if it is a new Silvia S16 that will hit Japan in 2007, the chances of that car making it here under a Nissan name is very slight, probably slim to none, if it does make it to the states. It will be A. Infinity or B. Nissan SentraP.S. This is not a fact its just something that I have read in a reliable source. It could all be rrumors and lies. What you probably saw is a sketch of a maybe car.And one last thing, Nissan Motorsports USDM is not planning on releasing another 240sx, sorry to brake the news, You are most likley see a Skyline faster then a 240, (Under an Infinity badge)

i doubt it would be the next sentra. looks to cool to be an infiniti.
its a 350Zish (not competely but same style sorta). 2 door looks like a hatch.
Think Styleing like the "R35" proto and the EVO X bastard child. but two door...
hows that!

If that magazine is reputable, then they certainly seem to be hinting strongly that the new car will be FR.
As for the styling, I'd keep in mind that's a concept car and, like almost every concept ever, will be considerably less funky looking than the production car (if there is one).
A RWD sport coupe priced between a Spec V and a base Z would fill a huge gap in the Nissan lineup. We were just talking about that in the Spec V thread. It would be nice for Nissan to have something to compete with GM's very enticing Kappa platform cars (Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Curve).
